Jazz vs. Pistons (7:00 MT)

How good does it seem not to have to watch Davis? Bradley hasn't been great but at least we don't get killed when he's on the floor.
Clarkson has been the biggest difference for the bench without a doubt but no Davis and no green aren't far behind

Everyone in the NBA can get their jump shot blocked if the defender is in an athletic position.
Agreed. Guys with a high release can get their shot blocked and guys with a lower release can get their shot blocked.

That was the first blowout win we've had in a while. Feels great.

It was nice to see the deep bench actually get some playing time as well.

I thought Quin replacing him in the first half with Morgan worked well... then he went back to Niang in second half and holy hell he got BBQd. It’s time to play Morgan there... Niang can be an emergency option. I really think he’s gained a few lbs compared to where he was last year... looked much more playable last year.

Perhaps this game was the trial run to see if Morgan could hold his own out there. Might be seeing some more of him going forward.

Honest question, how does Niang get to play over anyone else? Clearly he’s great at eating, tweeting, and shooting. Last year he would initiate the offense some and use his intellect to make a nice read here or there which in addition to the decent open shooting helped soften the reality that he couldn’t stay in front of a chair or jump over a line. Seems a summer of inactivity coupled with a seefood diet increased his Niangness. How do we accelerate his transition to the broadcast booth? Also, remember those 30 games when Quin would run Niang with Green and Davis and we thought he was an idiot. That was just an exercise to teach the actual players how to play through adversity.

We have so much more energy than in early December. Ingles is night and day different. It was like he had double pneumonia. Davis is benched. Bradley and Clarkson are giving their all. Green is gone. Two different teams.

I am 100% convinced that Joe was sucking on purpose to make Quin try out a different rotation and put him back in the starting lineup.

Morgan doesn’t look as big out there as I thought he would.
I agree. Not to be a gadfly but did we even waive the right player? So far we’re still on the hook for Green’s salary. Maybe somebody would have picked up Davis. At least I remember Green expressing some frustration, Davis just acts like he could care less.

They say you should never get tattoos of people - guessing JC never heard that.

My friend had his grandmother tattooed on his upper arm - she looks like Babe Ruth.
This is just another example of how Clarkson at 26 is already ahead of guys like Lou Williams and Jamal Crawford today and he still has 8 years or so to catch up to those guys in age:

He’s a Lou Williams / Jamal Crawford with more tattoos and more defense.
