Quick thoughts:
Ricky- isn't offensively gifted or even average. and I think his on the ball D has gotten worse knowing gobert is back there.

Burks- should be starting or atleat getting 6 man minutes. His on the ball D is a little un-moving... but his help D is solid. (y'all see his block last night)

Quinn- Make adjustments.

Gobert- i wish he would have been DPOY snubbed.... Guy looks content. where is the gobert who get offended and takes it personal when someone scored on him?

Crowder- needs to learn to pass up a good look for a better look. Don't get me wrong ive liked what he does but i still thnk he would be that much better if he could/would do this

Favors- come off the bench big guy. With favors we should use the montra (its not you its me) Favors is good at what he does but what he does doesn't mesh well with what we try to do. For the sake of our team and his career he should leave utah.

Jazz Team- FREE THROWS!!!!

that is all. hope you all can appreciate my thoughts on this game. let me know if you all echo some of these same thoughts.

Jazz guard/wings with at least 100 minutes, sorted by Win Shares per 48 Minutes... Dante Exum (.063, 198th in the NBA) Donovan Mitchell (.041, 220th) Joe Ingles (.033, 231st) Royce O'Neale (.025, 239th) Ricky Rubio (.011, 250th out of 284 players)

george hill bad defense but he has produced offense

That whole team is terrible on defense... not sure that is an indictment on Hill.

Soooooo..... we are kind of bad....

just watched the game....
I'm officially pissed at this team. They've been barbecue chicken lately.

Did not expect to win, but the way we just got abused.... My confidence is shaken.

I think it's fair to say that the team doesn't have anything going right now. I don't see an identity. And, frankly, I don't see a lot of talent asserting itself, either.

I would just think we see us getting lit up night after night because of shooting big men and PnR ball handlers and we'd see two things:

- We need to play with one shooting big or a big wing that can stretch the floor.
- The defense of just funneling everything to Gobert needs to adjust. Either more resistance or he needs to challenge more shots... or both.

We need a lineup adjustment... if it doesn't improve we need a personnel adjustment.

Andy Larsens wrote a nice article summarizing things. His Triple Team from last night was pretty spot on.

The Raps went from playing Ibaka and JV together a ton last year, to alternating this year and almost never sharing the floor... both guys are thriving... the team is doing much better.

We have to put more playmaking and shooting on the floor... whether it comes through moving away from two bigs or moving away from Rubio... we have better options adjusting the bigs.

No real reason to pussyfoot around it... but we will.

If you gave me the choice of Rubio or Exum for the next 5 years, I take Exum without hesitation.

He has not shown that he can run half court offense yet. Rubio is in shooting slump but he knows how to run the team at least. Exum in starting unit may work only if we let Donovan to play PG.
