What's new

***Jazz vs Sixers tonight @7!*** Lyles to Debut!

Lyles doesn't really have a comp. High IQ, 6'10, range, but good interior-play and baseline-repertoire.

He's kind of really an old-school player. I'm sure he probably has similarities with some players from the 90s, or early 2000s. He simply isn't a Channing Frye, or a Carlos Boozer. Completely different game IMO. A slender, worse-passing Antoine Walker maybe? I don't know.

Get him stronger and that actually sounds like Chris Webber, tbh.

Is Hood playing tonight, or are the Jazz looking at all the bubble players?

Hood is taking a rest because of his shoulder sprain he got early in the week. The bubble players are ... Hanlan, Johnson, Cotton and Cooley I would guess... If I had to give it to somebody, I'd give the last place to Johnson.

That 1 dribble pullup is weird to me. It seems like he does it to get rhythm... interesting that it goes in more than his catch-and-shoot attempts.

Lyles looks good... I'm almost ready to eat crow. Looks very very skillful for a 6'10'' player.

Something that worries me is a lot of his shots are long 2s... hopefully he will be able to finish around the basket too...

I like this kids game, he's not afraid to shoot either. Might as well shoot if you have the space.

Lyles has the ability to pull-up on a dime to get space on a defender. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets a defender falling on his butt.
