***Jazz vs Sixers tonight @7!*** Lyles to Debut!

Cotton makes no time deflecting praise, saying the game ball goes to Cooley.

Gonna hurt when we cut him. Really, really he lands on another NBA team.

"It's nice to interview someone you can look right in the eye, right?"

~Ron Boone talking to Steve Brown after interviewing Bryce Cotton.

LOL

Man, that pass from Lyles to Cooley...you know how many big guys can make that pass?! Not very many, especially coming off the pick. So versatile. Picture some stiff guarding Gobert, Gob screens for Lyles, huge mismatch for either BECAUSE Lyles can make that pass.

I like him a lot. Smart, smart player.

Same. It's gonna be impossible to keep him nailed to the bench, in my opinion. Booker will definitely be gone by next year, which hurts a little.

Lyles is gonna be awesome for this team man. Really amped with what he brings for a 12th overall pick.

Lyles has a lot of opportunity to get stronger and more explosive. He got bullied on some rebounds, but I guess you'd expect that being as young as he is.

We aren't gonna cut him - we got him on a multi-year VERY friendly deal.

Cooley is getting a roster spot 100% before Cotton is, and Pleiss has been bought out. That brings us to 14 players on the roster.

I still wouldn't be shocked if Burke gets off-loaded for future considerations. He's obviously not part of the long-term plan and his contract is very friendly for a team that might be looking for a floor general. Him and Cotton are very similar with the exception of Cotton being a guy that wants to be here vs. someone who is biding their time.

That general will do more shooting than anything, but a floor general nonetheless.

The Chris Webber comparison is intriguing me now. Much more similar to his profile and repertoire than Boozer IMO. Obvs he'll probably never have his scoring acumen, but who knows. That P&R play was very Antoine Walker-esque.

... he's on a multi-year team friendly deal. The Jazz aren't going to throw an asset like that in the trash by cutting him. If anything he'll be traded.

Lyles looks like a guy that other players probably enjoy playing with. I imagine he would be able to adapt his game to fit in with almost any team.
