What's new

Jazz VS. Warriors

Be honest. . . Which causes worse pain? Jazz in December or kidney stones?
Kidney stones. I had one last year that had me crying and begging for death. Most of them are just super uncomfortable, but the ones that hurt, hurt like nothing that can be explained.

We won’t struggle to score 80. What’s the lowest ppg for a team in the last 25 years? I bet it’s way over 80.

80 is an arbitrary number. The point is, unless our rookie puts up all star numbers, our offense is pathetic. We aren’t even competitive anymore. Look at this month.

Gobert isn’t going to stop us from losing by double digits to Denver or golden state.

I’m starting to worry about Mitchell of late.

Teams are scouting him now and don’t let him get many touches early in games, or if he is getting the ball they are defending him really tight.

He’s getting the majority of his points really late once the game is over.

Hopefully he can work through it, but his size is a real drawback when he’s being defended by guys such as Klay Thompson.

I think he should be our point guard of the future tbh. He has good vision/passing, great looking outside shot, and I think he has the speed and quickness to guard point guards. And his height is a small disadvantage at the 2 (he is good enough to be effective at either spot but I like him at point)

Saint: pretty sure the Jazz sold out their last sunday home game
Archie: Yeah, Utah isn't like what people tend to make it out to be. I bet Sunday games wouldn't be that bad.
Jazzta: You can still do church things in the morning and watch a game in the evening
Saint: (but it was a playoff game so idk)
Ron: Jazz and Utah sports in general have great Sunday turnouts it has nothing to do with that. It's because the Mormon owners don't want is playing on Sun
str8line: That chick behind Boler is ridiculous hot
Jazzta: I just can't wrap my head around the church having the power to make that call
Witty: uh, it's the millers
Archie: Some Mormons do that, Jazzta. Some don't do anything that involves money on Sunday.
Zombie: The Miller's aren't Mormon tho Right?
Ron: It's the owners following their religion's beliefs.
Witty: gail miller happens to be the second richest person in the state
str8line: And some smoke a lot of weed on Sundays.
Witty: and she's also mormon
Archie: Millers are mormon.
Witty: and she owns the jazz
str8line: True story.
Ron: Gale is definitely a Mormon.
yamers: morans
Ron: Gail
yamers: mormon ?
yamers: ah
yamers: im a jewbaca
str8line: Gail is awesome.
Witty: ive heard of mormons before
yamers: personally
Witty: they have mediocre basketball teams
Archie: Larry H Miller didn't go to Jazz games on Sundays sometimes.
Jazzta: Well, then it's more likely to get a crappy calendar indeed
Witty: just like their sons they send to third world countries
Jazzta: more back to backs
str8line: So why no Jerebko?
Zombie: Oh ok. I didn't think they were. In any case they like sell beer and stuff at the arena so I dunno
Witty: because thabo balled it up the first half
yamers: cos corpse of joe johnson needs MINUTED
Ron: Snyder seems to be rotating who gets dnps. I wonder if it is for rest reasons.
Zombie: Seems weird.
Witty: Zombie, don't confuse a mormon with a person that makes money
Witty: mormons are very interested in making money
Archie: The Marriott's are Mormon and sell porn in their hotels.

I agree with this completely. I think he’s a guy that can (and should) play both spots during the game. . . but I like him getting the majority of his minutes at PG.

There’s zero evidence that we even tried. If anything, it sounds like we were so focused on resigning Hayward that we failed to sign anyone else until the bottom fell out. Bad management.

And it’s not just young. Look around. We could’ve signed Ian clark. He would’ve been an upgrade over what we currently have

You don’t know who we could have signed or who we tried to sign.

Speaking of arbitrary numbers, Ricky Rubio has had 10 or more assists for the Jazz this year 3 times. All of which were in the first 5 games of the season. He had 10 or more assists last year 34 times.
Our offense is bad. Like, historically.

UDoh stat line is pitiful.
22 minutes. Zero field goal attempts. Zero free throw attempts. 1 rebound. 1 assist. 1 steal. Zero blocks.
Negative 20 for the game.

No I don’t know. But usually you can pick up on the activity through the newspaper and social media. All evidence we saw showed paralysis by analysis, waiting on Hayward. Bad move, just likebdrafting Burks, Burke, and Lyles.

Ian Clark?!? He sucks. Thabo and Jonas and Udoh were all solid signings on team friendly deals.

You can say we should not have gone all in on Hayward but we recovered nicely.

Ian Clark?!?! Why?

Dude averages 5 points a game and shoots 34.8% from the floor. Clearly, we missed out on him. Fire DL!

Our offense is quite literally average and good enough to get us wins (look at our home record) on the road. We only have to look to 2 years ago to see a worse Utah Jazz offense. Our defense on the road is epic level bad right now.

Yeah, I made a comment during the game chat about it being historically bad. It was a hyperbolic, exaggerated expression. I had no idea what their historically bad offense was or where they're ranked right now. That said, some posters had to be quick to say I was wrong and pull everything out of my *** or something along those lines. People are so out to prove their superior intellect, put others down and toot their own horn on here, it's kinda sad. It was ****ing sarcasm at best. Lol. Don't be that guy. (Not you, just people in general.)
