jazz will lead in league in dunks and fg % this season?

I think with the pass first PG like Burke and kanter/favors combo, Jazz might lead the league in fg% this coming season. Both kanter and favors can take the ball to the rack even with shoot first pg Mo, I can't imagine what would be like when you have Burke as the facilitator. I think we are the next clipper team that will have many dunks!!

lol, only things Jazz will lead the league this season is in fouls, TO and least points scored.

Despite what you've been told, or have imagined, Burke is a shoot first PG--hence his 3 assists in the natiobal championship game.

Regardless, we'll have Hayward most likely playing point forward.

If we lead the league in FG we will win the champhionship. Seriously AKMVP is about right.

Title should read: "Jazz opponents will lead the league in dunks and FG% this season."

It's bizarre that you people are cheering for **** like this to happen. You can barely restrain your glee at the fantasy of Utah failing horribly this season.

Again: I lived in Cleveland for a number of years. I worked with Browns and Cavalier fans. You are all somehow more cynical and bitter than they are. I didn't think it was possible. Basketball clearly isn't a source of joy for you people, so why even watch it?

while ak's post was cynical and sarcastic, it is unfortunately a much more valid prediction than the op. doesnt mean we are rooting for failue, we dont have to be naive and fanatical to be good fans.

It's begun.

Tyrone Corbin is the new Al Jefferson.

That began 2 seasons ago. The real risk is that Corbin is a combination of AJ and Biedrins, with Corbins willingness to play the youth movement being Biedrin's FT%.

This. I didn't dislike Big Al as much as I disliked Corbin for the last two seasons.

I think Corbin will lay back and watch as players prepare pleasing surprises to him.
And this. With the talents of the young players I won't be surprised by any over-achieving of the team. But it would most likely be in spite of Corbin, not thanks to him.

However I'll be giving a last chance for Corbin this season. If he shows any improvements with his basic coaching attributes, gets along with the players in harmony and applies decent rotations, I would think about continuing with him.

dude, where did I say I am cheering for it? I am just being realistic. Yes Favors and Kanter will make over 50% FG, to bad they can't take all 100% of the Jazz shots. Burke will have bad FG%, Hayward will be fine, Burks probably around 45% as well. But as soon as our bench will stick out its ugly head things will turn nasty. Lucas alone will kill it, trust me:)
Plus Utah failing horribly this season puts us in fantastic position for future - I doubt Spurs fans complained when they got Duncan after sucking for one year.

Best FG teams last year in the whole league were Miami, San Antonio, Oklahoma, Clippers. So it's really unrealistic for jazz to compete with these teams in this category. Experience, coach's effect, true game pace and plan, qualities of the players are signatures for it. But if we discuss how to make it higher than last year, it's different story. More PnR game with Favors, more PnP game with Kanter, more aggressive defense and due to it, more fast break points, better spacing can help us for sure.
