Jazz will take Brandon Knight at #3

whats the use of Knight when you already have Devin Harris?
Keeping both on the roster would just be ridiculous, grounds for sexual harrisment.

What if the plan is to trade D.Harris while he has good trade value (and fill a need with it), and re-sign our own veteran Earl Watson to lead the position while Brandon Knight learns the job?

Ones of the reasons they like Knight is he can play SG in his early years next to Harris. Its a sound strategy; Knight would be a turnover machine trying to run an NBA team by himself at 19 years old.

Another reason to suspect Knight: If he goes big with the 3 pick, he's stuck with the pressure to go small at 12. If he absolutely loves Kanter and Jimmer I could see him go that route.

But logically, if he drafts Knight at 3, he gets his pick of Biyombo, Donatas, Tristan Thompson, or perhaps even JV at 12. Knight is infinitely safer than Kanter at 3, and thus Knight and one of those bigs virtually guarantees a great draft.

What was the point in drafting DWill while you have Stockton?

I don't know why people are so eager to either get rid of Harris and throw a rookie to the slaughter......or say there's no need for a backup PG with Watson and Price being free agents.

We need a backup PG.....end of discussion.

Knight isn't ready to start. Serving as the backup for 15 mins/per would be perfect as he learns the offense and improves his skills. If he's ready, you trade Harris next year. Or if Knight really surprises, at the trade deadline.

And on the topic of Stockton, it took him 3 years to earn the nod over Rickey Green. And Green was no slouch; he went to the all-star game just a few years before the Jazz drafted John. But he already 8 years in the league and the Jazz knew they needed to eventually replace him. Hmmm...sounds oddly familiar.

So ... at the end of the day, KOC will select Brandon Knight, with the 3rd pick, shortly after 5:30pm.
