I'm rooting for only wins. As much as my brain wants the jazz to lose so we can get a top 5 rookie, my heart won't allow it, so why fight it. Reading the OP. made me want to punch kkk in the gut. I'd like to think we already have our studs in place with Favors, Hayward, and Kanter, with good role players around them in Burks, Burke, and Rush, and in a draft like the up coming draft we can make the playoffs and get two rookies that can be put around our solid core to make us a potent championship contender, but think it will take a while to get there. I feel this team just needs a few pieces and experience.

The pledge ain't about rooting for losses.... its about not being upset with whatever happens.
At least that was my take..... I didnt rwad the OP's pledges as asking us to root for losses and be upset when we win or anything like that.

So thee and stoked types could sign the pledge and still root for the jazz to win every game..... just that when they are losing, don't get upset as long as the youth are getting minutes and developing

I understand that this is a rebuilding year. While I am a fiercely loyal fan and ultra competitive I recognize that the Jazz are going to finish near the bottom of the standings this year. This is largely by design of the front office in an attempt to land a franchise player via the 2014 draft. I understand and accept this reality as being good for the long term health of the Jazz and my interest in them.

I will cheer for every Jazz win and hope for victory every game. However, I will be thankful for each loss.

I understand that the Jazz will be fielding a team of very young players. While the potential is high, it's to be expected that such young players will have struggles. I accept that these players are going to have flaws exposed in extended minutes, but, I understand that they are not finished products. They will be working to improve their game and address these exposed weaknesses as the years progress. The only time I will come down hard on a player is if they just seem lazy or stupid. Civilly pointing out flaws is not coming down hard on a player.

I understand that coach Corbin is being dealt a very raw hand here. I will not criticize him for losing games, that's to be expected. Other avenues of critique are fair game.

I will enjoy moments of brilliance to the fullest. During long periods of ineptitude I'll focus instead on the 2014 draft.

If I am at a Laker game and see someone in a Laker Uniform at Energy Solutions Arena I'll take a moment to invite them to move to California so that they may more easily support their team.

I highlighted the portions I don't agree with.

I will not be thankful for losses. I will accept them but not thankful. I also will critique the coaching for losses based on how they lose.

I read it more as "find the silver linings in the losses"

So if we lose just be like... well at least it helps our draft pick and favors/kanter/burke/hayward/burks played an awesome game so its all good

I'm ok with that. I won't be mad about losses depending on how the Jazz lose. Any intentional coaching to lose is disgraceful and below the Jazz.
 
I pledge to pray actively to loose every game this yr, and love every minute of it. I'll enjoy the 2 steps forward and 1 step back process that the youngsters are going to go thru. I'll actively bitch slap everyone who complains when we do loose and mock them for that opinion. :D I will personally fight any Laker fan that I see. If we don't fight then I will still make fun of and mock them until they want to fight. Plus I will watch as much NCAA BBall as I can so that I can decide who the Jazz should select with their 2 picks this summer. With this said, I will be pissed if the young guys aren't showing growth, intensity, and toughness. I expect more of the, if you mess with my teammate we will all KICK YOUR A** attitude. This would be a successful season to me. GO EVERYONE BUT THE JAZZ!!!!

I will watch as long as they are playing hard. I don't care if they win or lose if they are actually playing as a team. I quit watching last year when they started playing like garbage. I understand missed shots and blown plays, but playing iso and taking possession off is not acceptable.
 
Can we turn this pledge into some sort of 12 step program so people feel more comfortable signing off?
