What's new

Jazzfanz ALL-TIME Fantasy Draft

There's not a way for me to take the numbers out. Plus, I think we're the main ones who will be looking at the bracket, so it shouldn't really matter.

We could assign random alphabet characters to each team & translate over if necessary.

Also, I think we need a brand new thread for each face off (Face Off>Travolta>Swordfish>Halle's boobies yum).

Can I post my 10 player team?

I'd love to see it, even if it won't be admitted into this thing.

Of course, you could just play-in against one of the teams that have a bye, currently. That's if anyone else is down.

Anyway, yeah, I'm curious.

Here's my frontline...wanted to tease you some. I was going to go five bigs but left off Sikma and Ho Grant my fifth and sixth options respectively. The rest of my team is upcoming after some comments on these four.

1. Bob Lanier, C: 6’11”, 250 pounds, 20.1 ppg on 51.4% from the floor and 76.7% from the line, 10.1 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.5 bpg, 1.1 spg, w/ 8 all-star game appearances, HOF Member

2. George Mikan, C: 6’10”, 245 pounds, 23.1 ppg, 13.4 rpg, 2.8 apg (blocks and steals not kept), 78.2% from the FT line on 8.9 attempts per game, four all-star game appearances, six times as first-team all NBA, five-time BAA/NBA champion, HOF Member

3. Dave Cowens, PF: 6’9”, 230 pounds, 17.6 ppg, 13.6 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.1 spg, 0.9 bpg, w/ 8 all-star game appearances and the 70-71 ROY, 72-73 All-Star Game MVP and 72-73 NBA MVP, as well as first team defense once and second team twice. He was also a two-time NBA champion, HOF Member

4. Bob Mcadoo, PF: 6’9”, 210 pounds, 22.1 on 50.3% FG, 9.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1.0 steals, 75.4% FT…5 all-stars…one league MVP, two-time NBA champion, HOF Member

Bob Mcadoo is nice. I'm surprised he didn't get picked. I forgot about him until I already had my bigs. I thought about trying to jam him into sf role, but early in his career it was tried and failed. He does appear to move like a wing. Very quick for a big. Really good jump shooter too.

My two point guards...

5. Dennis Johnson, PG: Smothering defense and as clutch a guy as you’ll ever see with 14.1 ppg, 5.0 apg, and 3.9 rpg and 1.3 spg, six time all defensive first team and three time second team, HOF Member.

6. Mo Cheeks: Great defender, 11.1 ppg, 6.7 apg, 2.1 spg, 2.8 rpg, 5th all-time in steals, 11th all-time in steals. I was considering Cassell (and Archibald among others) here because he’s clutch as hell but since DJ’s closing games and clutch, it was sort of redundant and I rather have the better floor general and defender off the bench should DJ get into foul trouble. It’s a joke Mo’s not in the HOF. If team's try to run smaller, these two guys are stud defenders.

This is far from good. PKM and Hack's teams make it automatically? Haha. Good one.

Agreed, what's going on here people? We can't make decisions about the competition format by only a few ones opinions. I'm not good with this format even I think this game as a pastime amusement.

Btw, I'm not saying this because of I'm not one of the byes.

Two of my wings...

Sam Jones, SG: 17.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.5 apg (blocks, steals not kept), five time NBA all-star, ten time NBA champion, and a guy who hit HUGE shots…clutch, clutch player, HOF Member

Mitch Richmond, SG: 21.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.2 spg, 85% FT, 38.8% 3 point %...a wing who can stretch the floor and do more than simply score.

These two were my favorite options all the game long.
