Smaller aperture.

Oh I've realized-- it's just super finicky to get a knowledge of where to have the wheel set on, based on varying light conditions-- other than just experience.

And experience is pricy-- $30 for a pack of 8 exposures.

I'm hoping to travel to Japan later this year-- and I intend to get a really awesome used 35mm film camera when I'm there.

A couple of images from my mid-20s orange photography phase:

Edit: These were taken by an old Nikon D100. I don't remember settings, but the upper one was taken out in the middle of nowhere really late at night. It is very long exposure with very high ISO. I think I just let it do its thing while I smoked a joint with friends.
 
I also went though "bad cell phone photos" phase because, you know, ART.

I'll try to find one of these.
