What's new

Jeff Green is he worth the risk?

Didn't Ronny Turiaf have open heart surgery and come back?

What are the % for full athletic recover for these types of things?

This is a giant homer statement. I like Evans but he is not even close to Greens level.

I disagree. Green is a pretty one dimensional player, and is basically just an ok jump shooter with no post game as he is even more of a tweener than Millsap.
Evans would bring a massive amount of athleticism to that spot, that doesn't demand many points from in a Jazz offense anyway.
Evans can be molded into whatever the coaching staff wants, unlike another tweener.

If you judge by PER then Al Jefferson is the 12th best player in the NBA.

I don't really judge by PER, but isn't it wierd that he's dead center at #250? And I found that out after I said he was super mediocre. Stuff like this only happens once or twice every lifetime, I need to savor this moment.

I can't really say I've watched too much of him, but he hasn't really been placed in the best positions.

Playing alongside Durant on an ISO-based team when one of his best strengths is passing.
Playing a half season with the Celtics.
Having heart surgery.

I probably wouldn't spend 8 million on him, but I don't think 5-6 is unreasonable.

Lol, the average NBA salary is $5.15 million

So you'd rather have Green at 7-8M per than Barnes at 2-3M per? Think this through. Green isn't the answer. Nor is Barnes. But I'd rather pay someone at a third to half the cost and who doesn't expect to start so that when we do find our starting 3, there isn't an issue. In brief, we're not finding our starting 3 this off-season so Barnes on the cheap could make sense.

Barnes ****ing sucks. Bell was LA's 1st choice and they took on Matt after missing out. Think about that for a minute.

Sucks? 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.6 steals in 22.9 minutes a night for a 3 is above average. He can do a little bit of everything and do it fairly well actually. 45.2% from the floor isn't so bad and he can stroke the 3, albeit at just 33.3% this year (and 32% for his career) so this could definitely improve but at 2-3M a year, you wouldn't take that? Okay. Let's go sign Green for 8-10M.

I can see what people are saying, but he seems more like a SF than Millsap. He's lighter, more athletic, seems like a great slasher, better 3 point shooter and passer. If the Jazz FO thinks he's physically good to go and can play the majority of his minutes at SF, then I say offer him 6 per.
