Jefferson to Boston

As a Celtics fan who enjoys lurking on this site, I'd just like to make it known that Boston knows what a terrible player Al Jefferson is and won't be giving up any value to get him. So the ideas where he ends up back in Boston, it's simply not happening. Try a team he hasn't already burned.

Put another way ... After your experience with him in Utah would you ever trade for him? Of course not.

Thanks for creating this new and informative thread. You Boston fans are awesome.

LOUD NOISES ABOUT A CRAPPY IDEA AND NO "TRADE IDEA" IN YOUR TITLE. YOU ARE SCUM!@#123!jgjgo

In all seriousness I am open to trading him for a good deal. Also a bunch of the boston trade ideas are from self proclaimed "boston fans". Throws a kink (lol @ ESPN)in your arguement.

He's right in a lot of ways.

But, do I think Boston "got burned"? **** no. **** no.

I don't think we are that down on Al, it's just we have two future studs waiting to get some playing time! If we didn't have favors and Kanter we would be focusing mostly on Harris for a trade!

He was traded for Garnett.
That doesn't mean Boston, or Ainge did not want him or like him.
It means they wanted Garnett much more.

It worked out for Boston.

That being said, I still don't see them wanting Jefferson back.

Ribeye says thanks for this amazing information.

At first your post ticked me off a bit, but I'll admit your comments are fair.
I don't think he's horrible or holds no value, but he probably isn't desired by much by your team.
He can put up some good numbers, and some teams probably think they might be able to change or mold him into their system.

The main reason some of us don't like Al is that he doesn't match up well with Millsap. If Millsap wasn't here I think Big Al would be liked by more Jazz fans.

Al's a very good player; but he's being treated as a go-to guy and is making go-to money.

I think he can be "re-fitted" with successful results; but it won't be in Utah - it's too late for that. I think The Jazz have come to that realization and he'll be traded fairly soon.

Millsap hasn't been here for a while. Hope he shows up tonight.

That's how I am. I'm an Al supporter but I also realize that Kanter and Favors have potential to be better, which also brings up another question, what do we do with Millsap, if Kanter and Favors are the future? Do we trade him? Do we just let his contract run it's course, and let him sign elsewhere or try to convince him to be the sixth man? Or should we keep him incase Favors doesn't progress the way we expect him to?

Yeah, you're right. Burned was the wrong word given what they did with him. However, it's really the 16/10 that he put up in his last season in Boston and the 20/10s he put up in Minnesota that make him look a lot better than he truly is. The Jazz need to find a trade partner who doesn't know better and is willing to put up with his flaws.

Oh you naive Bostonite. Nobody is suggesting we trade Jefferson with Boston. We want Rondo for HARRIS. :D

Is anybody else here not convinced this dude is really a boston fan? I don't know about the rest of you, but I rarely frequent other teams' sites. Maybe cluthfans when the Jazz beat the rockets just to see reactions, but that's about it.

If we trade Al we should keep Paul unless an unbelievable trade comes up for him! With Paul, Kanter and Favors thats a good three headed front court and allows each to get thier minutes!

Then when Paul's contract is up we evaluate the situation!

I like the Jazz and frequently watch them on LP now that the Celtics are unwatchable. Big fan of the bigs (except Al). Plus, Jazzfanz has the Tapatalk plugin installed so I browse it from my phone when I'm supposed to be working.

I would rather move Sap than Al. Al + Favors in the starting line up would be more effective IMO. Or move Sap to coming off the bench with Kanter. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sap, as much as I love his work ethic, isn't a starter. However, he's proven many wrong before and was pretty impressive early in the season, but has since faded which is something we see each year with him.
