Jefferson to Boston

I might be in the minority here, but Al has played MUCH better this year. His passing is better and no matter who is matched up against him, he's able to get his points. You can't say the same about Paul right now.

Keep in mind I'm a bigger fan of Millsap than Al, but you can't deny that Paul has been less effective as the season has progressed. Teams plan for Paul and have made him non existent in iso situations. If Al has struggled, it's because HE has struggled. Paul has struggled because other teams have made it so. Millsap this year on defense has been about as frustrating to watch as I've seen in his whole career.

Jefferson is not the black hole that he was last year. Which is why I feel Al is more valuable than he has ever been. So to you Mr. T-Bone........your team would be LUCKY to have Al. The Celtics haven't been this pathetic in the paint/low-post since KG came to Boston. You can blindly say you don't want him, but I would bet the Celtics front office would love to have his presence right about now. Enjoy the collapse while Rondo does all he can to salvage the sinking ship.

+1 bitches.

He must not be doing too bad - he`s leading his team and ALL power forwards in steals.

CJ has lead this team in steals a few times, does that mean he defends well? It just means he has quick hands. It says nothing about the fact that Paul has been out of position countless times and allows post players get in too deep in the paint.

Position and being nearly immovable used to be one of his greatest strengths.

Jefferson certainly knows how to play when double teamed better than Millsap.

Millsap is still the better value overall, though. Jefferson is a one on one player, offensively and defensively. Millsap really is more all around and paid half as much for about four fifths of the production. Jefferson's lack of help defense is an absolute killer.

A good number of teams would want Al: Indiana, Miami, GSW, Dallas, Denver, ... He's a good player to dump the ball off to, and he is capable of playing defense when he isn't asked to take 20 shots a night. But yeah, he'd be great playing off a good PG and multi-dimensional wing scorer.....

He was traded for Garnett.
That doesn't mean Boston, or Ainge did not want him or like him.
It means they wanted Garnett much more.

It worked out for Boston.

That being said, I still don't see them wanting Jefferson back.
And from what I heard, they really didn't want to give him up. But he was one of the keys to that deal, much like NJ had to part with Favors in order to get Deron.

I actually think Boston might be more open to trading for Harris. They don't want to give Rondo a ton of money and hence, are looking to get rid of him. Not sure Rondo is a good fit, personality-wise with the Jazz. But maybe a three team deal could send Harris + ? to Boston, Rondo to ? and players TBD (like a wing or PG) to Utah.

I would rather move Sap than Al. Al + Favors in the starting line up would be more effective IMO. Or move Sap to coming off the bench with Kanter. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sap, as much as I love his work ethic, isn't a starter. However, he's proven many wrong before and was pretty impressive early in the season, but has since faded which is something we see each year with him.
Agree.
Millsap would still get the same number of mins, but his production would increase because he'd get 1/3 of those against the other team's back-up PF, who he'd dominate. Millsap always starts of the season strong, then fades as he gets worn down. Or gets injured. And that happens because he's fighting against bigger opponents every game. Only hope is that Favors eventually pushes him to the bench. Problem is, Favors hasn't shown that he's ready to be a starter. He had the chance at the beginning of the year and played his way back to the bench.
