Right in your face, ignorant haters.

Give me some J Evans highlights. Quin the Master might find the perfect click for him in our system. Thing about Jeremy is he has that old school build to his frame.

Kid is a valuable rotational player in the NBA. At worst, he's an energizer. Plus, his paintings are awesome.

He is underrated.

Like Evans. Good character so at worst I'd put him end of bench. Glad he's a Jazz man.

Yay he can jump. Wait didn't we already know that?
.
Now can he shoot consistently? Defend any position? Or do anything with the ball in his hands? Those are the questions I want answered. I already knew he could jump.

Do you actually watch Evans when he plays? 8 out or 10 times he produces. He rebounds well, blocks shots, passes the ball, runs the floor and dunks. He shot the 15ft well when he came in the league but didn't have confidence to shoot it. Ty mentioned a few times he was always telling Jeremy to shoot the jumper. People have stereotyped Jeremy because he won the dunk contest and he can jump out of the gym but he has other talents. He is also a great teammate and doesn't complain when he doesn't play.

The problem with Jeremy and this is a glaring problem, is his handles/dribbling skills are poor for an NBA player. He is too skinny to guard his real position down low so he gets shoved around even though he is better than he use to be. In the end it is his dribbling skills that keep him from being a SF and probably getting more minutes. However teams need guys like Jeremy who will produce something when he gets his number called.

I like this kid. Has he ever not done what we've asked of him, with never a complaint? He's improved little by little each year and that's all under Corbin's brilliancy. Maybe the kid will pack on a little bit of lean muscle and take a leap under Quin. Who knows. At that price, attitude, and production, what's not to like.

He seems like a nice kid, but with all due respect, if that's your criteria, I should play for the Jazz. I would do what was asked of me and never complain. We're trying to win. I think it's an attainable goal to have nice kids who are good basketball players. Evans is mediocre at best. Maybe he will prove me wrong, but he's just a nice kid who isn't good enough, IMO.

Good points.

Championship teams don't carry 15 guys on their roster who deserve real NBA minutes night in and night out. There are always a few selfless guys who will play and play hard when called on, oftentimes producing better than one might expect for a player of such limited ability, and they'll do so on the cheap. Evans is one of those guys.

Did I say he didn't produce? Did I say he doesn't rebound or block shots? What I see is a guy that can't defend either SF's or PF's, Can't dribble to save his life and can't shoot well enough to be a SF.
.
I like Evans I just don't see him as more than a bottom of the rotation guy. His weaknesses keep him that way. And his strengths are not good enough to make up for it. It's great he can dunk, and block from the weak side, but when the other team knows they can just score at will on you it becomes worthless. I'd say on the ball defense Jeremy was one of our absolute worst players last year.
.
Oh yea and he passes the ball because for him it's his only option. It's not like he can dribble and make something happen with it. It's either pass or shoot for Jeremy. And his passes are always routine easy passes. It's not like he's finding guys for easy scores very often.

Fair enough, but one would think that those guys at least excel at one thing, whether it be defending or shooting, but Evans doesn't excel at anything, excepting jumping high. But you're right, every team has a few scrubs.

If Evans hasn't gained weight by now, then we shouldn't expect him to gain much more. Some people just can't gain weight.
