Jeremy Evans. The new AK47

Jeremy Evans had a monster game tonight (for him). His line was what we came to expect nightly from Andrei kirilenko (minus a few points) with 8 points 7 rebounds 5 assists and 2 blocked shots.

If he gets the time next year, do we trust him as the first big off the bench? Maybe second big off the bench? Or is he just a spot player who gives us minutes at the four or three when injuries come up?

He has improved his game a lot from what I can see. He has added a jumper, rebounding and defense. When I say defense, I am not just talking about his spectacular blocks, but the way he was not getting raped I. The post tonight. I hope we continue to see growth out of him. I think if he works hard, maybe he could be an AL lite, with a little more vertical.

I would be more comfortable with him being the second big off the bench. His defense this game was good because of the match-up but he really improved on everything else.

Well, they were playing a D-League team so let's not get too excited. But Jeremy has really improved. Maybe locking him up cheap wasn't such a bad idea after all.

He did play well the other night too though. I think he can be good for like 20 min per game one day, and give a good boost off the bench. If he become more, it is just gravy.

Too many d league teams in the nba right now. Makes basketball boring some nights

He can develop an unguardable 10 foot shot and provide above average help defense. That's already deserving of 10-15 minutes a game, imo

He was guarding Villenuva (he is not good enough for me to look how to spell his name). Good for Jeremy he is better than a terrible player. He cannot play against everyone but he might be a good option against stretch 4's.

Haters

Jeremy is a bad ***. Sign me up for 20 minutes a game next year. He does a lot of things that help the team win.

I do hope he gets a consistent opportunity to play next season. He exciting to watch, tries hard, and has unique skills on both ends of the court. I would rather see what he can become with real minutes rather than have a vet like Marvin Williams play ahead of him.

Evans has very rare athletic ability, and it's nice that he can shoot a bit. If he could learn to dribble and move laterally he could be a impact player. But maybe that's asking a lot. He's more like David Benoit than AK.
