Does any one have the stats for Jeremy Evan's "Dunks per shot" or for that matter "Early-Oops" per shot? I say it has got to be somewhere in the region of 80%. No other player I know dunks as frequently as he does. He should be in the Slam Dunk contest!

Evans is instant offense and helped spark a comeback that fell short against the Spurs.

However, I think he should be used sparingly to keep the opposition teams off guard. If you play him too much, he's gonna get predictable cause catch and dunk is all he can do(for now).

You would love to see this kid put on some meat and develop and all round game. I think he is a long term asset. Watch out, Portland may try another Matthews.

The funny thing is that he's the same age as CJ Miles, who's been around for 6 years.

yeah, right now he is only good for a few minutes at a time. he did not play that much last night so no biggie, but he did not get any rebounds. he will need to work like mad this offseason on his body and all around game. If there is not a lockout hope nobody will give him a nice offer.

I think it said on the broad cast that Jeremy had 22 dunks up to that point 11 of which were oops from Watson

It was funny, at the game last night I said if this kid gets in tonight, you're in for a treat! Sure enough early oop within about 5 seconds of playing time!

Just for fun I was checking some per 48 stats and fg% They are:
reb 9.6
blk 1.78
pts 23.9
fg 72.5% I know last night he had 3 of 4 were dunks, I suspect you're probably pretty close on the year.
PER 23.99

FG% would be #3 in the league if he qualified. PER rate is the best on the team and #8 in the league (if he qualified) He has some challenges on perimeter D, and when he plays more minutes his numbers seem to go down. I hope we can hang on to him. When he throws down the crowd and his teammates go insane. It's just one of those intangibles.

he did outhustle oppononets for rebounds something ak rarely does. on some he got fouled on some he defelcted the ball out of bounds

Did anybody notice is pick and roll defense? He was the only pick and roll defender I saw on our team last night to stop the ball! Rather than saving him for an alley-oop dunk once a month, I would like to see him start getting more minutes to watch this kid develop. He is an incredible talent.

I think they dont play him because he plays the same position as the Ninth pick. Playing Evans ahead of Ninth Pick is like admitting a mistake.

Nothing to do with Hayward.

I like Hayward at the 3, Evans at the 4.

I would like to see BOTH get regular minutes.

You see Hayward play well a few games, even play the entire 4th..well.. then Bench. Makes no sense. These 2 kids are friends and get a long, I think that chemistry will translate on the court.

I actually like Haywards offense when did dribbles off the curl, takes it to the hole, when they collapse he dishes for an easy shot.

He has done that several times as late. I like him as an assist man and fast break man (he runs the court well) as he gets more consistent with his shot.

What? Hayward has been playing the 2 and 3. Evans has been playing the 4.

Evans doesnt do **** other than dunk the ball....Im not sure why he deserves more time.

I came this close to giving a rare neg rep to a non-imbecile poster. Step your game up!

Evans does one thing...play with great abandon. He reminds of AK in AK's early years, throwing his body around like a rag doll...but without the skill level AK possessed. Evans makes plays that look cool and could be highlight reel stuff, mostly against other teams 2nd units after the game has been decided. I like his energy, but I do not think it would be as impressive if he played against more solid competition with regularity.

Well he only dunks the ball because that what they want him to do the kid can do way more than just dunk. Thats all that most of u jazz fans have seen. When they realize how good he actually is the team will be much better mark my words. And he is nothing like ak. Ak is lazy and has bad hands and is slow. I really dont know what you people are watching
