Jeremy Evans

I saw over on JazzNewz that Jeremy is doing the Junior Jazz caravan out in the boondocks. I wonder if the front office might be harboring thoughts of bringing him back. He had a solid year in the DLeague and got called up by the Hawks late.

At this point Evans is old, apparently he has very little upside, if any. I don’t know if he doesn’t have the work ethic, or the capability to get better, but he hasn’t. If I never see another Jimmer/Evans suggestion it’ll be too soon.

He spent most of last year in the G-League. Perhaps he's going to play with the Stars this year. That'd be awesome.

Last year in the GLeague he averaged 15.3ppg, 9.9 boards shot .714 from 2, .313 from 3, .774 FT and overall fg% of .614 and 1.4 blocks. Would be a good Stars member.

Also, lumping Jeremy in with Jimmer should be worthy of an infraction.

And who was his BFF when he played for the Jazz? Hmmm....guess they don't hold that against him.
Quite some guy to be doing the Jr. Jazz tour. That's generally done by rookies. Jazz' 2nd round pick should be doing the tour. Oh wait...
Hope they're spotting him some of that $1.5m. I guess he'd at least get a per diem.

As for bringing him back, now that the Jazz have signed Niang, whose roster spot would he take? If he comes back, it would only be if Utah made some kind of 2-1 trade at the deadline.

He won't be playing for the Jazz but bringing him back to play for the Stars would be a good P-R move, for the Jazz and Jeremy. He is not Hayward but a good guy.

i'd love to see him on the stars, and if he was, it would be easier to use him on the occasional ten day contract. not that we can't anyway if he isn't contracted with a major league club.

No, we can't. There has to be a roster spot open in order to sign someone to a 10-day. So who gets cut?

You don't think the Jazz will have anyone on the injured reserve at any point? Have you followed the Jazz the last 12 years?
