I don't know how to use multi-quote, even though I've tried, sorry. I really can't see how the supposed availability of "multi-quote," however it works, turns the use of conventional methods of responding into "trollin," either way.
I received two PM's, yes. I asked for clarification and got no response. After a few days, I asked if I was even gunna be given the courtesy of a response. I got no response to that, either. Receiving a PM which I did NOT find self-explanatory, but rather found confusing and incoherent, with inaccurate references, is NOT the same as receiving an explanation of the "evil" which the mods are seeking to eliminate, sorry.
Needless to say, I still have no real explanation of how my "formatting" disrupts the board other than mebbe this: People who have me on ignore do NOT want me to make a post, because it "distubs" them to be informed that I have made a post.
I spoze that another way in which my "formatting" may be considered "bizarre," if you have no particular devotion to truth in language, is that I post too often to suit some, and that makes it "bizarre." If that's what you mean, you should just say it, rather than making obscure, incomprehensible allusions to "bizarre formatting," and letting me try to guess what you mean.

To use the multi-quote function click the multi-quote button (located to the right of reply with quote) and then click "reply to thread" at the bottom of the page. Quoted versions of all posts you've marked with the multiquote will be copied to the quick reply box. Wow, that was difficult to figure out. Clearly you really tried.
You've received an explanation in this very thread that a child could understand. To check the accuracy of this claim, I forwarded a link to this thread to my 12 year old brother. He figured it out. He only disputes the characterization of himself as a child. Twelve year olds are funny that way.

Vinny, you have no clue what's goin on here. If there was any true concern about "bizzare formatting," if that's supposed to be the basis of the complaint, I would NOT have received some of the warning PM's that I did. Moreover, you don't even wanna know. Furthermore, if you were told, you still wouldn't know, because you wouldn't even begin to understand. So why insist on a meaningful response? I can't get it to do what I expected it to do, eh, Eric? Often, for context and clarity, I would like to quote not only the poster's response, but also the question or post he was responding to, which itself is in the original post I am replying to. Hittin "reply with quote" does not allow you to do that. Nor does hittin "multi-quote," best I have been able to tell.
This post is a good example. I have quoted you as sayin: "To be fair, Ruckus, I never figured that out, either."
But what is "that" in your post? If all of the following: (1) the post of the guy you quoted, (2) your post (which I want to quote), and (3) my post are in quick succession, this doesn't present much of a problem. But if I am responding to a post you made yesterday, and you were responding to a post made two days before that, no one knows or remembers what the pronoun "that" could possibly refer to.

Look at that. I used multi-quote and moved one bracket. That's exactly what you claim you want to do. And it took about 10 seconds. I don't think there's actually a problem here.

Let me try to give a little insight into the multiquote thing, as I just figured it out a few days ago.
You must click the multiquote button not only on the most recent post that has a quote and a response, but must go to the original post that was quoted and click the multiquote butten there as well.
That will put two seperate quotes in your reply.
To combine the quotes the way SKA did you are going to have to delete the /quote (it's in brackets at the end of the first quote) from the first quote and place it after the /quote of the second quote.
I'm sure your average 12yo is going to be on top of this more than your average 35+yo, for what it's worth.
