Jimmer to the JAZZ?

I'd take Jimmer for a late second round pick.

I would not for the simple fact I would hate going to games at ESA. Every Jazz/Kings I have gone to have been retarded. All the BYU homers come out of the closet. The only good thing about that is the beer lines are much shorter!

If he can become an instant offense off the bench weapon like Jason terry or Lou Williams, I think he would be awesome.

I'd rather have Watson or Tinsley back then take on the distraction that is Jimmer. Can you imagine seeing Hayward or Burks missing two shots in a row and hearing an entire section at ESA chanting we want Jimmer. Also don't underestimate what his acquisition would do to this board. Think of all the crazy Jimmer (bandwagon jazz fans that would sign in just because Jimmer is here)
Well, we survived the Arroyoheads. Those posters were crazy. I suppose we'd survive the Jimmeranians. I doubt this idea has any legs...just wishful thinking by a BYU grad. Jazz have brought in locals before, but I think Larry H. did that when he thought it would be a boost for ticket sales. Don't really need to do that anymore; the Jazz have plenty of non-BYU fans to support the team.

A quick bio about that Yahoo Sports writer who wrote the article:

"Jared, who has written and reported for KBYU, BYUTV, KULR, and KSL, is a regular contributor to Yahoo! Sports, where he mostly writes about the Utah Jazz."

Case closed.
Jared's opinion is ok, but I'd be more interested in what the Brother of Jared has to say on the matter. He's by far the more enlightened of the two.

God no. I have nothing against Jimmer, and I think that in the right system he may well yet thrive (or be a reasonably good rotation player), but it would create a Tebow-like circus with all the BYU and Jimmer homers (including LDS faithful who would like nothing more than to cheer on a member of the tribe, much like Evangelicals have been a driving force behind the insane Tebow-mania). I mean just look how crazy it gets when Sacramento comes to town--half the stadium is there just to root for Jimmer.

So in sum: Jimmer: I have no problem with it. Circus: No thanks.

I'm firmly in the "Pro-Circus" camp. I've come to realize that, sadly, much of my Jazz-related enjoyment has nothing to do with the games or the team's performance (thankfully), but with the sideshow and this board. Accordingly, I will do everything in my power to bring Jimmer to Utah.

C'mon, you're all secretly thinking the same thing. Who doesn't love the circus?

He's the Tim Tebow of basketball
With the exception that Tebow actually has the athleticism and size to play other positions, but his stubborn *** insists on only playing QB. OTOH, Jimmer has no options, too small and slow to play any position in the NBA.

Welcome to David Sterns NBA.
