Jimmer to the Jazz?

I don't have a problem with Jimmer on the Jazz. I have a problem with Jimmer fans that would then be around the Jazz. You guys make Tebow fans look disinterested.

Why would the Jazz want any part of the overrated, slow, un-athletic bust from byu? He can't pass, defend, or dribble the ball without turning it over. He can shoot, but if the Jazz were smart, don't ever cater to those delusional byu fans.

You already tried with Hoffa, and how did that turn out? This would be a PR stunt disaster, but hey if you want to boost ticket sales to the mormons and be the laughing stock of the league, then yes, by all means, trade for the bust ferdette.

Yea that is just dumb. THis is why many Jazz fans don't want Jimmer on the team. There is no way Jimmer is worth two first round picks. There are players at 21 who potentially are better than Jimmer. I like Jimmer but there is no way he is worth three picks.

Yeah that's not even close to what I said. Thanks for reading though.

I said this:

Jazz Trade
#21 and #46

Jazz Receive
Jimmer and future 1st

Not a BYU fan but.....

-The Jazz need 3 point shooting.

-He's is most likely better than anything we are getting at #21

-If the Jazz tank next year they will keep the ESA full of Jimmer fans

Also the Jazz did it before by trading for Rafael Aruajo. There never seemed like much backlash during his stint here. Everyone knew he had T-Rex arms and sucked.

I think Jimmermania has died down a lot in the face of the reality that Jimmer is not going to be a star in the NBA. Maybe I'm wrong and there are people out there expecting him to have a breakout season, but I bet their numbers are dwindling.

I think Jimmer would excell in a system like S.A. He comes in as a deep threat and gets into position and thru the flow of the offense an open shot is created for him. He gets the pass, sets and shoots. He is not the major ball handler and does not create his own shot. He hits 3s and stretches the floor for the bigs.

a) The Hoffa trade reeked of the same attempted-novelty and desperation that a Jimmer trade would. I was going to even mention this earlier but just decided not to.

b) Hoffa did not have near the ravenous and irrational following that Jimmer did / does.

The Jazz will be hard pressed to find a guy at #21 who can score 8 points a game and shoot 42% from three.

Will The Jimmer go down as a bigger bust then Detmer? Great college players, awful pros.

Bust? the guy had a 12 year NFL career and was drafted in the 9th round with one or two years of being an above average starter in the league. I dont think that fits the bust mold. Its hard to call anyone drafted in the 9th round a bust, I think he exceeded almost everyone's expectations.

Btw.. is Jimmer really shooting 42% from the 3 in the NBA? Serious question.

He shot 41.7% from 3 last year. After 2 years his average is 38.4% So he shot 34.5% (roughly) in year 1. So after 2 years who is the real Jimmer from 3? Year 1 (34.5%) or year 2(42%)?

I think so
And also shooting over 90 percent from free throw line.

His coach sucks and his teammates are mostly headcases..... there is still hope for jimmer to be a good player of the bench. (Cant teach speed, quickness or height though)

If not for how incredibly retarded all the byu fans would act if we got him, I'd love to take a chance on Jimner. He could maybe be a decent role player, and Sacramento isnt exactly role players paradise.

#21 is too much though, and its hard to believe we could get him for #46.

Again though, cant do it because of the zoob factor.

Would never trade our 21st for Jim. Maybe a 2015 2nd rounder? He's a competent player though. Wouldn't say 'bust'-- too early into his career. Hopefully he can emulate JJ Redick's evolution as a player

But you have no idea if those guys will pan out. Look at Locke's draft stats. There is like a 5% chance that late 1st round picks will even become rotation players.

The safe bet is getting Jimmer. You at least know you are getting a rotation player that can score in the league. You also have to assume he gets better after getting off that horrible team.
