His first game for new Orleans (vs Miami)

The Pelicans were efficient in other areas besides in the post. For a long stretch in the second quarter, Williams had Jimmer Fredette initiating the offense as the point guard with Austin Rivers playing off the ball. Both shined together against the veteran-filled Heat team that appeared a step slower than the Pelicans. Rivers scored 12 points and had a team-high six assists.

Fredette showed more quickness off the dribble and he got the ball quickly out of his hands to shooters. He scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting and also had three assists and two steals. Fredette was not made available after the game, but Williams praised his play.

He's rolling again. 10 points in 10 mins at the half. Somebody just needs to start playing him more in the regular season and he would be considered a good player overnight. He can play. The Jazz will be paying him 8 mill/per in a couple years when they finally wise up.

Leads the team in scoring through 3 games - 14 ppg in 22 minutes on 56% FGs and 53% 3pt.

You can only hope to contain him.

The Jimmer is shooting 14-25 from the field for 56%. 7-13 from three for 53.8%.

The rest of the team? 84-223 (37.6% from the field) and 23-71 (32.4% from three)

I volunteer to create the next thread in honor of his second pre season game as a Pelican.

You should make one for each quarter. Something tells me HeWhosNameShallNotBeWritten's 15 minutes will be short lived. HWNSNBW fans should live it up while they can.

Also, could the mods please edit the title of thread to say HWNSNBW and remove the offensive word? At my request, Jason has agreed to ban the offensive word from the site. If he hasn't informed you of such, it probably just slipped his mind. Thanks.
