Joe Jesus Gratitude Thread...

I'm super grateful for the one and a half years we had with this guy. He was tremendous in the playoffs last year. Hope he lands someplace where he has another chance for some post season heroics.

Sad to see him go. One of the remaining old school bb players. Love his game and his leadership. Was loyal to the end and was nothing but professional.

Thanks Joe

Loved JJ for his time here. Without him Lob City would easily still be around. Will always be grateful for his time here and his clutch shots
Good luck wherever you go, hope you win a ring

Read somewhere that Houston might take a look at him.

JJ was a consummate professional. Truly an asset to the culture. The thing that I am most going to miss was his supreme confidence offensively.

Glad he chose the Jazz last year, and think it started the process of Free Agents looking at Utah as a desirable place to end up again.

Hopefully some of our younger guys paid attention and learned because he's a dying breed.

Nothing but good things to say about him. Great player, great person, great mentor. Sucks he wanted to leave but his reasoning is understandable and hes earned it.

He was phenomenal last year, pretty blah this year and in the way of people more deserving of his minutes. Also, he has earned hundreds of millions, so thanks for wanting to leave to help someone else.

I wonder if the current win streak changed his mind about leaving. I can't help but be pretty dang optimistic about our chances for making the playoffs. I'm sure management would have traded him anyway without his consent to make the deal fit.

Utah was going to either deal him somewhere he wanted to go or buy him out. The only way he was part of the deal was because the kings buying him out was agreed on beforehand. Utah wants to make sure other vets know they will get a fair shake if they sign in with Jazz.

As for changing his mind about the win streak, I think he wants a bigger role than Utah was able to give him. Joe hasn't been as good as he was last year, and Utah is deeper. I think his minutes would have been slowly slipping away in favor of other players.

I'm gonna miss him. He's a class act and a true professional. I wish he would/could have stayed but I understand his desire to go after a ring this year. If the Jazz don't win it I hope he does.

What a player. As great as that shot in game 1 against the Clippers was, I still hold game 4 in higher regard. That moment after he hit 4-5 straight shots in the 4th, and you realize that the Clippers are now double-teaming a hobbled 36-year old on the perimeter. And he throws three passes out to Hood and Ingles who drain threes. I'm getting misty-eyed just talking about it.
