Joe Johnson Coming to Utah

Yet another previous big name signed at the end of his career. Ugh. We will be stuck in 14th pick purgatory for a long time.

My only fear is he attempts too much hero ball at the end of games when he isn't making shots, which he is prone to do. Still think it's a great pickup though.

JJ is 35years old.

bet you this dude shows up out of shape and just wastes salary cap on the bench. This fool doesn't give a crap about BBALL anymore nor winning anything. Hes doing this for his last hurrah to get a check.

hes going to do jack ****.

Yamers is good. He'll come around.

Completely off topic, but has anybody else noticed NBA players don't get fat anymore?

Back in the day, you had guys like Shawn Kemp and Vin Baker who were skinny and got fat. Oliver Miller and Tractor Traylor who were kinda fat and ate themselves out of thr league.

That doesn't seem happen these days. Am I forgetting some guys?

Would anyone be willing to post Jazz tidbits from Kevin Pelton's recent insider articles? I believe since it would only be excerpts, this doesn't break any rules.

Terrence Jones averaged around 12 and 5 in his second and third seasons.
Also about 1.5 blks.
Career 51% shooter is pretty good.

Fantastic skills for a 6'9 255lb guy.

Upside and cheap.

Not sure which one but this one is an insider: [h=1]5-on-5: Best trades and free agents to help the Jazz rise in the West?[/h]
Not sure how much I can post. Ill post a bunch of snipets though and hope thats okay.

[h=3]1. What do you foresee and advise for the Jazz this offseason?[/h]Mostly boring comments, this is pretty much the jist.
The only obvious offseason move left is to spend the Jazz's remaining cap space on a quality backup at power forward or a lockdown wing defender.
[h=3]
2. Who will be the primary point guard at the end of the regular season?
[/h]
Everyone said Hill, but if Exum is that is a really good sign. A couple also said "dont forget about Burk." Personally most of this article is ****. They know very little about the Jazz. Some did say Hill would start and at some point Exum would take over which I think is the most likely and most hopeful for the Jazz.
[h=3]3. What trade would you like to see Utah make?[/h]
Most said they already did enough. Doolittle suggested consolidating and going after a star but thought Butler was the only possibility. Some said a shooting big and some said a lock down defender.
[h=3]
4. Where do you see the Jazz in the 2016-17 playoff race?
[/h]They all said playoffs. Some said bottom 2 most said around 5th seed. Pelton and Doolittle said home court but sounded like 4th seed is best case.

[h=3]5. How high, and when, do you see this current Jazz team peaking?[/h]
Basically they all said top 4. Sounded like no one was sure. This is the best quote of the article and I agree

Ilardi: If Exum, Gobert, Hood and Favors all reach their considerable upside potential, this Jazz team could easily peak as a legitimate title contender in two or three years. The Jazz are in one of the most enviable long-term positions of any NBA franchise.

We can compete for a title with some luck and one player hitting their max potential out of our core players. IMO.

Could him and lyles play against bench bigs? I like him but I don't think we need another 5. He gives us some versatility we still need.

What position do we need most of all? A guy who can play some 3 or 4 and shoot and defend? If so, who is that guy?

I have liked Jones since the draft. Though the question is does Jones see himself as a bench guy long term? Because that would probably be his role here permanently.
