The court should state on the record the reasons for granting or denying the motion."
They didn't do a new or unheard of thing. Trump will appeal. Justice is being done the way it has always been done in the U.S..
AL wants people to think trump had no chance to defend himself but trump didn't dispute the fact that he committed the fraud.
Now if trump didn't want as large of a monetary ruling then he might be better served to show remorse and contrition and maybe not insult and attack the judge and staff so much
I think he wanted a large number. Helps him to play the martyr/victim role much better.
