I was never a huge fan but he is decent. There are not many options out there for PG right now. I think we will be drafting a PG in this draft and signing someone to share time with the rookie. Someone with experience but won't demand a long term contract or over 30 minutes a game.

Farmar would probably go for a 2 year deal with us for cheap. So when his contract is up our Rookie is ready for the full 30 minutes a game.

He is shooting 39% from 3 for the same team Deron played for in Turkey. And 4 assists per game in 29 minutes. 13 points per game.

Again if the rookie is way way better than let the rookie play the majority and he can back him up. If not the time can be split.

Downside he isn't the best defensively. Not as bad as Calderon or Vasquez on defense. So he is decent but only average.

But could fill the gap for the short term and cheap. This is only if we can get a PG in the draft.

Showing realistic options that are out there. If we truly want to go young these mediocre guys are all we are going to be able to get. And that is mostly what is available. I am not listing my ideal situation. Those rarely happen.

No need to defend yourself. This thread was a great idea. Keep up the good work.

And **** no to Farmar

To everyone freaking out, Farmar is much more capable than Watson and Tinsley put-together.

Obviously I think we could do much better than Farmar-- but we could also do worse. He had a 47/44/90 season coming off the bench for New Jersey in 2012. That really isn't bad for a backup.

Guy's alright, haters gonna hate. Farmar can ball pretty decently. All that has to be said.

Im sure he'd come cheap, too. Dirt cheap.

I like Farmar. I think the Jazz should have traded Fisher for Farmar (and Brian Cook) instead of just releasing Fisher. For a back-up veteran PG, he is ceratinly younger and better than Tinsley and Watson.

Oh so he slightly better than 2 guys who shouldn't be on an NBA roster? Excuse me while I hide my excitement!

Where did I say you should be excited?

I followed up my post with further justification that he wouldn't be the worst PG ever, as other posters seemed to indicate.

Not really sure what your point is.
