i think josh howard's veteran experiences will be extremely valuable in this playoff. I think he should be starting with Sap and Al in the frontline. Spurs might start the rookie lenard who is not a outside threat.

spurs depends on Manu off the bench to spark the 2nd unit, thats when Corbin should bring Raja to match that, Raja wont put much pts on the board, but he will get into Manu's head and hopefully can slow Manu down.

one more thing to win this series: no MILES please...

When I see Howard grab a rebound and run the floor I'm reminded what a good player he was.

When I see Howard shoot while the other 4 players on the court are standing still and staring at him, I'm reminded of what a bad player he is.

But the problem is this - as promising as Burks is, the fact is he gets lost on defense. He gets caught staring at the ball while his man is moving - easily correctable for the future; but right now a guy like Ginobli will eat Burks' lunch. If you're playing to win you got to give Howard some minutes for his veteran experience. At the same time you have to give Burks some valuable playoff minutes.

Nope, that is specifically why I would NOT start Josh Howard. I want him to enter the game when Ginobili does so he can focus on primarily guarding Manu.

I have no interest in watching Howard take contested shots. The only bigger chucker on this team is Miles.

I don't want Howard starting or playing more than 12 minutes a game.

Either this is going to end fabulously or in utter, catastrophic failure. I am on the edge of my seat.

......Josh Howard is worthless. So is Bell. Miles, on the other hand, at least knows his role and our system. He's the lesser of 3 evils. But only play him at HOME games!

Raja Bell has this knack for being able to put the ball in the hole and score a few baskets. Not many players or men can do that. And Josh Howard, well... I don't know about him, he seems to be long and lanky, but almost too much. I don't trust him.

LOL.. I see what you just did.

.....if he had a "knack" for puting the ball in the basket....why does he do it so few times? And why do the Jazz play better when he's out....and lose when he's in?

He's just trying to be funny by being sarcastic... but it's usually not that funny as nobody ever gets it..

Raja's biggest problem is not taking shots when he is WIDE open and his failure to drive to the basket when he is WIDE open and when he misses those shots when he is WIDE open. When all else fails, he will probably clothesline someone like Kobe.
Howard is playing selfishly to promote his own career <<< good player if he settles down.
Miles...Well, I don't need to talk about Miles.

There is no reason to play Bell, CJ and even Howard. The Jazz have been winning a lot since Bel and CJ haven't played. I would play Howard in spot minutes to guard Gino. I am with Trout here if Ty reverts back to playing the vets over Burks, Hayward etc. I will freak'n go nuts. It might be the death of me.

I like both Bell and Howard, but I think it would be a mistake to rely too much on guys that have barely played lately or who are coming right off injuries.

For the Jazz to have their best shot at winning this, I think they need Favors and Burks playing big roles.
