Super interested to see how this works. Houston is famous for only taking 3's and shots in the paint.

Will Houston effectively cap Smith's terrible shot selection?

How bad will Houston's FT shooting be with Smith and Howard on the floor at the same time?

Will Smith pout if he gets benched if Terrence Jones comes back healthy (who is better fit offensively for Houston)?

If this works for Houston, they could have a disgustingly nasty defense with another upper-tier passer at a unique position.
 
Houston can role out this lineup that could wreck teams defensively:

Beverly
Brewer
Ariza
Smith
Howard
 
I'm not sure it's a great move for them. He sounds like he's toxic. Neither the Pistons or the Hawks wanted him, or most other NBA teams for that matter.

I lean towards it doesn't help. They aren't terrible. They should just try to build off the current chemistry they have imo. More isn't always better. His impact could have a negative one. It's risky. I wouldn't do it if I was them. There's got to be other ways to improve.
 
It'll be interesting, but I don't have a great feeling about it.

Rondo to Dallas on the other hand... damn.

Having Josh Smith or Cry Mello Anthony or J.R. Smith on your team is like pouring sand and/or sawdust into a well oiled engine! Those slop dummies gum up the whole works with there selfish "me first" attitude on offense and there "don't care" attitude on defense! There's a reason why Anthony's Knicks are 5-30 and now he's coping out for the season with this "phantom" injury! There's a reason why Josh Smith was cut loose by the Pistons even though they had to eat 26 million dollars of salary to get rid of him! These guys are "team obliviators" of the highest degree! They force all kinds of shots, they take shots with way too much time left on the shot clock, and they don't care how it affects the team! Look at the Pistons! As soon as Van Gundy dumped that puke they started playing "team" ball and haven't lost since! Houston, on the other hand, has gone 3-4 with that clown in the lineup!
