Hendricks is going to be great. A difference maker defender with length that is reliable from 3 is one of the most valuable type of players in the NBA.
Hendricks is going to be great. I liked what I saw from him.

Good moments from Cody and Flip as well. Key had an on/off game, but got to the line at an elite level. He needs to get under control though. His was way too reckless for me.

Collier was the steal of the draft. Oh my goodness. Danny Ainge with the freaking home run pick there.

I hope they give Collier the keys in Las Vegas and let him drive.

I kinda forgot how rough summer league is. There isn’t enough good outside shooting to create space, the players haven’t been together long enough to have much chemistry, and the offense is just so clunky. I’d like to see Williams and Hendricks show motors. Both look long and athletic but don’t show any anticipation due to their motors being on idle all the time. Collier on the other hand, I liked the aggression.

Too much fun! Another hope against hope that Danny lets us compete this year. Convey the damn pick already, we have two more first rounders coming in already next year and we’ve run out of throw away players to make room!

Gets off soap box! (I just want to compete, and I know damn well that Hardy and the boys are also onboard with that.)

yeah, Hendricks was mostly invisible, but he's long, defends and in theory can make the three. i'm optimistic about him as a 3 and d forward. summer league isn't really conducive for that kind of player to stand out. especially with Key ending every possession.
I liked some of the flashes we saw out of Hendricks tonight. I think he has a bright future tbh.

That was half of our Regular Season rotation going to the wire against a summer league team at home. This year is going to be rough. . .

He could be but today he played essentially against college players again. Let's see what NBA teams with good guards and wings can do with him on the perimeter, lets see how he plays against small ball teams and teams with 5 shooters.
I mean Kessler is the best rim protector in the league…

A real PG makes such a difference. Collier was too slow getting the ball up and starting possession (he is seeing this level players and defense for literally the first time, there is a lot to process) but still felt like there was an actual offensive cohesion. Like the team was being used to score not just one player.

Filip is much smaller than expected. He's definitely a 4 in the NBA. Probably closer to Lyles than Olynyk. But getting a Trey Lyles with 32nd pick in the draft is still good business. Shot looks pure but isn't falling. With that beautiful stroke his % definitely gonna get there with enough practice.
