What's new

July 14 SL Exum vs Parker 8:30 MT

I was saying all this prior to the draft. The lone voice in the wilderness. But I deserve very little credit - all I did was watched most of his at Duke and then called it like I saw it. Ther only thing he did really well at Duke was rebound to a lesser extent get to the line and sure enough those are the things he's done best in summer league. Every thing else, he's just not that good. The next Marvin Williams.

It will be ironic when Exum is the best player in the draft.

Your not the only one. I posted a lot of comments and threads about how his game wouldn't translate well to the NBA way back in January 2014. Granted its only been one summer league game but he doesn't show any elite skills like superstars do. I think most people was going on the assumption that he could play SF and if he could then you could say he has an elite skill for his size to play SF. I for the most part had Parker between the 5-7 range

hello mates,I am from the Aboriginal people living down under in the Outback. As I am skinning a Roo I was wondering how I was going to watch my fellow countryman Exum play some American basketball tonight.Any of you yanks have any answers.I heard he is so fast he might be playing in both games at the same time.Back home he used to chase down rabbits grabbing them by the ears just to show off.

Not a lone voice

If the Jazz had moved up and drafted Parker ahead of Exum I would have been pissed

Jabari Parker has no superstar potential, hes some sort of Michael Beasler-Rudy Gay clone

I will tell you now he will never be an All Star

Well that settles that.

********. There were several people expressing their reservations about Jabari. I, for one, backed off of wanting him too badly back in December, when it became clear he wasn't an SF.

I do remember your crappy arguments about his Polynesian heritage. But, again, you weren't alone there either.

Me too. His value would have really been high as a SF. Once you put him at PF, he's undersized.

You were one of the biggest supporter of Jabari on this board you were even quoting your PhD 'research' saying Polynesians don't get fat.

Lol at trying to make lasting conclussions off of summer league.
Actually i think he said that he came to his conclusion from watching all of his games while at duke

All I want to know is how much burn is #87 going to get? We have to see more of "High Speed Motum". I seriously think he is our new building block for the future...:)

LOL

I like your nickname for the "scro" man.

I reckon we keep him, and also try and add bairstow from the bulls, who will be cut now that gasol is going there - make dante feel right at home with 2 other aussies.

So it's early.
But which two would you keep out of Clark, Giffey, Motum, E. Murphy?

Jazz need another guard on the roster and they need another big.
Go with the two best players you can sign off someone else's roster.

Motum seemed to play with more energy than Murphy. And Clark by default as the guard.

I think we need someone that could come in and hit a big three point shot. With Burke, Burks, Exum, Hayward, we are a bad 3pnt shooting team.

Seth Curry-for someone that could come in and hit a big shot when we need it
I would also look for a stretch 4 or someone with some toughness to knock people around and be physical. They won't get much playing time so just good situational players.

Erik Murphy looked like garbage the other day. So slow for his size and struggled to get a shot off.
