What's new

July 14 SL Exum vs Parker 8:30 MT

My observations from the game:

The spacing and ball movement from the offense was awesome. It looks better than we have seen in years already in summer league.

What is wrong with Trey Burke? He just can't find or create good scoring opportunities. So he has to take very difficult shots. He moved the ball and defended well but 0-6 is very concerning.

Gobert dominated large parts of the game. He was challenging everything at the rim and taking advantage of the undersized Bucks centers. IMO he is earning playing time as the backup center.

Exum made some rooke mistakes and was bothered by stronger players. But his passing instincts and touch are world-class-- better than Burke's. His jumper was encouraging too.

Hood of course caught fire. On D I thought that Gobert was bailing him and everyone else out.

Thomas was pretty good. Motum was okay. Everyone else was terrible. I don't think Clark is ever going to make the improvements he needs to.

Was thrilled with Hood and Gobert. Exum is young and learning. Solid first SL game and wild potential so I am not worried at all.

After one good game we have posters saying Hood > Hayward. Y'all suck, and are stupid.

After one good summer league game... Summer league people! It's exciting to see the young guys show promise and all but let's not go overboard.

Pretty sure Hood is up for league MVP. The question is how much better than Lebron is this guy?

You're thoughts on Burke are way off. He played well and within the offense, and did what you want your pg to do, he made his teammates better and found easy opportunities for them. Yes, he went 0-6, but remember, In the first game Hood went 1-9 or something like that.

He was reliable on defense, and he did great at not bogging down the offense by not doing anything with the ball and played with a good pace.

I was very excited about everything Jazz, but Giannis the Greek Freak was outstanding. What an incredible player. Milwaukee had a very nice future with Gianni's and Parker-until they hired Jason Kidd. As a fan of good basketball I'm sorry to see the potential lost. Kidds team looked awful last night, not prepared and confused. What were the Bucks owners thinking?

What a fun game to watch. Wow, the Greek Freak was impressive. I kept thinking they had his scoring numbers wrong. It seemed like he had 30. Hood was incredible and I was really impressed by his passing and that curl at the free throw line was smooth. That's a shot Hayward has never mastered.

Gobert was incredible. That block shot on Giannis was a volleyball spike. I loved it when he dunked on the Greek Freak. Gobert is quick for a 7'1 guy and can move across the lane to block on either side. Quin's offense is so much funner to watch than Ty's. We may not make the playoffs, but it's gonna be a fun year.

If Hood keeps shooting like this and it continues into the season Hayward needs to buy him a house because Hood is going to take A LOT of pressure off of the offense.

I'd much rather have Burke bring up the ball and hand it off to Exum.

So burke is strictly starting so he can dribble the ball up the court huh.

If exum is unable to dribble the ball up the court then we seriously blew it with out draft pick

Guys, I know Hayward isn't the best shooter in the world, but c'mon. Some people act like he is Ronnie Brewer.

He is a career .365% 3pt shooter.
This

It depends on whether you see Burke & Exum as our future 1-2 or Exum & Hayward. One thing is clear, Burke & Exum is a hell of a lot cheaper with Hayward demanding MAX.

Exum is clearly a point guard and not a sg

With Hood's solid shooting it's hard to see him being left off of the starting lineup next year given the type of offense we're running.

if he keeps shooting like this he will be an allstar, and he will be the ROY. i would be pleasantly surprised if he can have 15 nights like last night. i would say he won't.

burke will dictate the tempo of the game, make the offense move, and not turn the ball over. and he will give you 15/7 every night.

So far he has made the tempo slow (bad thing) and dribbles to much/holds on to the ball for too long, shoots too much/plays hero ball

You are right that he doesnt turn it over much
