What's new

July 7th, Summer League Game 1: Utah vs. Miami

That guy was in the key and and moving. He used the off hand to protect himself in anything. Should have been a defensive foul.

I disagree but I am not talking about this play specifically just this type of play in general. It is not being called so it is happening a lot. Milsap uses it all the time.

This play he was not taking a charge so him moving and him being in the paint is not a factor. Generally speaking when a player blocks a shot he is moving. This guy was going up to meet him and the player wiped away his hands giving him no chance to block the shot. Had he not used his off hand to clear the defender than maybe there would have been body contact or the defender might have hit his arm in which case it would have been a defensive foul.

Alec better look like the best player on the floor. This is his 3rd year. Time to make it or break it.
