My wife is friends with the woman who has the same job for the Heat. It isn't super lucrative and is stressful. It mainly pays in "exposure" and you have to have other income to keep doing it. It could be that KK would rather focus on a career full time. The other people doing this sort of work for the Jazz are old and basically retired, except Locke who has a side hustle with his podcast network.
