What's new

Just a proposal for Okoro

JC has enough magic to win you a few games unexpectedly. The Cavs would love him. We get a young Uber athletic but flawed player. Maybe we can revive his career but I don't think it adds wins in the short term. It kind of hurts our pick prospects in the short term but long term it is neutral or even positive depending if Okoro gets better.

The article makes the argument. Plus JC is a calming presence especially with Mitchell is known to be uptight and demanding. But yeah may not want him back.

Cleveland may be enticed to get their 2025 pick back which I may do that deal. 3 rookies again? and we can shed one in the late 20's. Make it top 15 protected.

It would all depend on what cleveland thinks of Okoro. Also what Okoro is asking in a contract. It is it close to what Clarkson is getting paid they might just want to keep Okoro.

I wanted Okoro all offseason but not on a huge contract. Around what Clarkson is making on a 3 year deal I would do it. But so would Cleveland I presume.

It's just not happening. I'm not 100% Utah would even do it if they could. JC only has two years left. How many years would they have to commit to Okoro to get him to sign? The Jazz have a ton of projects to develop

I am not sure Okoro is a project any more. He put up pretty consistent numbers. My big issue is is he any better than what the Jazz could develop with their current roster?

I would love to see Clarkson gone but this is not ideal for the Jazz.

Can okoro play the 2? I think there is too much need development at the 3. Hendricks, Williams and Sensabaugh all play the 3. Lauri also gets minutes here. If Okoro could play the 2 I would be up for it.

Definitely defensively, and technically offensively, but I don't think he has much playmaker or shooting gravity in him. That's what I missed on him most about when I liked him out of Auburn.

I'm shocked that Okoro has basically had zero slashing ability in the NBA despite being so dominant at it in college. Difference between being able to bully ball NCAA athletes vs NBA athletes I guess.
