Just Curious - Do you think Lindsey is trying to trade to #1 pick?

It would be thin but you could put Kanter at PF and Gobert at center. Or perhaps the Jazz could buy another 1st round pick and get Payne or Gordon or Saric or you can take back Varejo (sp). I think he is on his last year of a contract. Resign Marvin is another option.

Can the Jazz draft who Cleveland wants at #5 and they draft who we want at #1 and then when free agency comes they do a sign and trade with Hayward involved + additional pics?

I reckon if Embiid falls to #5 for whatever reason, we do this deal: Embiid & Kanter & GSW '17 pick for Wiggins

For the Cavs:

Kyrie
Waiters
LeBron (when he comes over)
Kanter
Embiid

For the Jazz:

Burke
Hayward
Wiggins

I'd just take Embiid at 5 and work him into the lineup slowly. Let him build his strength and pray the back problems are behind him. It's worth the risk at that point, even though it's not a need.

It may sound absurd but I would not wanna pick #1 in this draft.
Embiid, Parker, Wiggins are very close choices. Maybe Exum too. There is no clear-cut favorite. Besides #1 means tremendous pressure for the FO and player. What if they miss? You can see why the Cavs are already looking to listen to offers for their #1 pick.

I'd feel good about having a #3 pick even #4 but Jazz's #5 is on the thin red line so moving up to #3 would make sense. Though I believe one of those four top talents will be available at #5.

If Cleveland thinks it has a legit shot at getting Lebron back then there is no way on God's green earth they trade away this #1. Walking up To lebron with Irving and Wiggins carries more weight that Irving and a couple of future draft picks.

If they know they do not have a shot then maybe theyw ould trade but I still doubt it. Only possible trade I see is with Orlando if Parker drops to 4.

We have no chance. None. Maybe fans overvalue the pick but go read the thread on realgm discussing the value of the #1 this year. From people posts, the only players they would trade it for are the top 5 players on the league. Many say only LeBron or Durant. We don't have enough value to get Wiggins. Our only chance at Wigg died Tuesday night

OMG!
You miraculously get Embiid and now you want to trade him PLUS Kanter PLUS the 2017 pick for Wiggins?
If his back checks out, I wouldn't trade him straight up for Wiggins. This is not MJ and Bowie. Embiid is #1 on many boards - and rightfully so; franchise centers are rare.

It's a difficult decision between Embiid and Wiggins for the Cavs. Maybe they should call LBJ first.
He never had a franchise center in Miami. But Wiggins, Irving and James would be sweet. I think they take Wiggins; in the end, there is too much risk with Embiid and this is their one chance to hit it right. Suspiciously, they've been given chance after chance to prepare a team for Lebron's return. And if he does go back, the NBA will have a nice story to tell about small market teams. It's a perfect set up for the league.

If I'm Cleveland I trade teh #1 pick for the best deal available, knowing full well that the Cavs will get the #1 pick next season...or at the very least a top 3 pick...
