Just for fun who would the jazz sign...

Let's just pretend, because there is nothing else to do, that the owners decide they want some games and the players union won't budge so the owners decide to bring in scabs (I know it won't happen). Who would be some local heroes from days past that would love to get a shot at the NBA even if they were scabs. Also what player might cross the line to play? Not to mention who would you like to see who is currently not playing in the NBA?

Jayce Carroll
Tai Wesley
Nate Harris
Spencer Nelson
Alex smith
Luke nevill
Britton johnson
Hafa arajou (sp)
Travis Hansen
Mark bigalow
Lee cummard
Lance allred

Jayce Carroll, he is one of the few guys on that list with an NBA level skill (shooting).

In a scrub league, give me Jackson Emery. There's the lockdown defender everybody seems to want. He would shut down any of the guards on that list.

Normal NBA guards, probably not so much.

And as much as we would like to see it a lot of those players have good contracts over seas.

I would not like to see us sign any of these guys. I'd rather just not have an NBA season than watch complete scrubs.

But what if in this scenario, the Jazz were guaranteed to win an NBA championship? I would love to have our only championship be from a scrub league. For some reason the idea has a certain appeal.

Here's the roster I would put together:

Iverson / Me
Sloan / Dell Shaunzee
Wilford Brimley / Sprewell
Collins / Fesenko (yes, at PF)

JC is a slam dunk. He could be playing in the NBA but no one has offered a guaranteed better than what he is making over the pond.

Jaycee just signed a contract with Real Madrid for 1.4 M Euros (over $1M). Doubt he would be interested.

They should just go with an all-retired league. Every team in the league should just go back and sign all their players from whatever full team they had in the past where everyone is retired or out of the league. You can get the entire 1997-1998 Jazz squad and the entire 1997-1998 Bulls squad and have a rematch. I would bet money that Malone and Stock kept up on their fitness and b-ball skills better than Jordan and Pippen have. At least it would be fun to laugh at those retired players being all fat and slow now.

Jordan being the fattest of them all. I bet Antoine Carr would be in pretty good shape too

I don't know about Jordan being the fattest. Have you seen Barkley?
