Just how BAD is it.....?

....it's so bad that the Jazz have become the FIRST team to lose to a team playing there 3rd consecutive game in 3 nights! It's so bad that the proverbial "Chinese Fire Drill" is more organized than our offensive system! It's so bad that Vegas has us as even money to end up 6-60!

There is a positive insight you can take from yesterday's game - we can not, absolutely not, get any worse than that...
It was one of the poorest performances I saw in years..

....I would have to concur with your assessment! I watched the 1st half, didn't see one assist, one pick set, one play called...let alone actually run, and virtually puked my guts out thinking how far this team has fallen from the days of Stockton, Malone and Sloan!

I'll put it in a more positive way - from now on, we will be better!!

Wow! I maintained radio silence throughout my long work night in eager anticipation of watching the new Jazz in their season opener. First, a douche bag Laker fan I work with had to slide a "go Lakers" into his see ya in 4 months fair-well (last night was my last night working night for 4 months) and it was clear by the way he said it the Lakers had won. He knew 100% I had the game recorded because he asked me for a score at 9:15pm (I have internet access, he doesn't) and I told him. Then I go home, still excited to see our new guys, only to watch one of the most horrible pro-sports performances I've ever seen.

puke

I literally got sick to my stomach watching this game. I ended up fast forwarding most of the second half.

No where to go but up!

It can only get better

It Can't get Worse

I hate to be a negative Ned, but the Jazz flew out of LA late last night, they are so disorganized now that its possible that they left a few players and coach in staples center. Meanwhile the Nuggets were off last night, I bet they were watching the game and licking their chops. They are young and fast and shoot. Remember Fisher blowing past Harris? What will Ty Lawson do to Harris? Nene to push around Al, and George Karl routinely outwitted Sloan, what is he going to do the current staff? If Jazz keep it within 20 points it will be a miracle.

I actually won't say that bad. We played a great 1st half defensively, but our offense really let us down.

They were a 3rd game in 3 nights, but they also had Kobe who clearly had no intention of losing this game at any cost.

Well they don't have Gasol or Kobe, so that is a relief in of itself. Nene is good, but he is nowhere near the defensive problem that Gasol is for our under the rim guys like Kanter, Jefferson, and Millsap. Hopefully the team comes out inspired.

Where do you find out this stuff on the internet? So I can put some money down that they will win more than 7 games, just playing the crappy teams out east and win a few at home should give us more then 7 wins!

I am not one to usually make a snap judgement on one game. But after last night's performance, I think the following are the only players who should ever see playing time this season (not necessarily in this order):

Watson
Burks
Hayward
Millsap
Favors
Kanter
Evans
Howard

CJ, Bell, Harris, and even AJ should not play another minute. Or, they should play just enough to allow them to be traded mid-season. One of them should be amnestied.

And again, I don't want to read too much into one game, and I think Corbin needs a chance, but that seemed like he was throwing dudes out there at random. Gasol is off the court, so he puts a bigger lineup out there, then he comes back and Ty goes smaller??? Subs were haphazard at best. It wasn't even like he was trying to find a combo that worked, it felt like he had no ****ing clue what he was doing. I expected at least a little more out of him, even providing it was the first real game of the season.

Holy hell was that a mess. One of the worst games I have ever seen, including our humilliating blow-out loss to the Bulls in the finals. I am about to start the Occupy Radium Stadium movement to bring back Sloan.

He's joking. You can't get a roaming under/over wins bet during the season. You could take the Jazz at 100 to 1 odds for the chip though. Or the u 200 line for the points total for tonight's game looks pretty tempting because the Jazz are going to struggle to put points on the board this year.

...you're right, I was joking. But those numbers are not that far off, probably!

KOC needs to fire Ty, beg Phil Johnson to come down from the booth, and make a public apology to Millsap for allowing him to be benched. That would be a start.

KOC can get involved in who coaches fine. I have a problem with him getting involved in a coaches decision though. Makes for a lame duck coach. Who would think a replacement coach is anything but a puppet after that scenario?
