What's new

Kamala Harris for Pres

Ya I simply have more money. Taking everything into account. Inflation and my increased pay. I also bought 2 brand new vehicles (about 83,000 dollars worth of vehicles total) in the last two years.
Just a month or so ago I actually had (have) more money than debt (including my home, vehicles etc. all debt) for the first time in my life.

Congrats man, that's awesome.

I don't agree, but it's not something I want to get distracted with. I just wish Bill and to a lesser extent Hillary could be retired from DNC participation. I think Hillary was the only person on the planet who could have lost that election to Trump.
And I still think even she wins if not for 2 things

A. Voters thinking trump had no chance.
B. Russian influence.

C. Americans like fresh and new.

Bush was new in 2000 over Gore.
Obama was new in 2007-2008.
Trump was new in 2015-2016. Covid and Trump’s chaos soured Americans on new so we momentarily went back to old boring competent and stable.
Harris is new in 2024 over the tired and stale Trump Reality TV show and Biden.

In a Trump administration, there’s as much chance of Trump going after the military industrial complex as there is of Trump castrating himself.
In that one, I think you are wrong. Trump would go after the military industrial complex. He did the first time he was president and there is no reason to believe he wouldn't do it again if given the chance. The whole reason Nikki Haley was a thing was because of the campaign checks being written by the military industrial complex.

Dunno if dragging out the corpse of Bill Clinton adds or subtracts from the momentum after that amazing Oprah speech..

I’m leaning subtract.

He’s pretty much done.

In this component of the military industrial complex, I think Trump’s first thought would be “how do I get a piece of this action?”. He’d oppose the legislation and get a cut from the generals. Sure, I’m being a bit facetious, but this is Trump. His only interest is himself. He’s not running because he loves the United States. He’s running because he loves Donald Trump. So he would see this conveyor belt as something he could get in on, and $$$…..

I attribute absolutely no thoughts whatsoever, in Trump’s mind, that have anything whatsoever to do with “what can I do to help my country?”. None. Zero.

Agreed, all of this.

Again, that is based on nothing other than you hate Trump and want it to be true. Nikki Haley was the one who thought like that and upon leaving office she took a board seat at Boeing. The military industrial complex isn't picky. If Trump wanted in then he'd have been welcomed like the generals in your linked article. The reality is the military industrial complex is aligned with the Bush neocons, and they don't get along well at all with Trump republicans. Trump is the only powerful figure they seem unable to buy.
