Kamala Harris for Pres

I can’t because I don’t care about politics like that. I could answer just about any sports trivia question you got though.

Fact is, regardless of who is president our lives won’t change much if at all.
I generally agree with this but over time the president and Congress can do things that have devastating effects. The massive deregulation of the mortgage industry in the 80's and 90's, one little step at a time, generated the 2008 housing collapse causing thousands to lose homes and jobs. I was one of them, got laid off then had to sell on a short sale. The systematic reduction in taxes in corporations and the wealthy from the 60's all the way up to today has lead to the huge federal budget deficit and reduction in social services including the threat to dismantle social security. The refusal to truly enforce anti-trust laws over the past 2 decades has lead to massive oligopolies and price gouging driving our current persistent high prices in many areas of the economy despite actual inflation beginning to decrease. So yes, generally who the next guy is most likely won't have a huge impact on our lives just in the short stint of their presidential term, but it could have far-reaching effects depending on how they govern and what legislation they push for and how they influence the federal agencies to actually do their jobs and keep things like monopolies in check. And in this over the last 50 years our leaders have generally been ****** as ****.

But Trump is something unique. He spurred the only outright rebellion against actual rule of law in our country's history at least since the civil war. He also stacked the deck and influenced the supreme Court to pass heinous changes to settled law and give the president carte blanche for commiting crimes in office. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The threat he presents is clear and present and it's awful ****ing hard to deny that.

This might be the most informative post I’ve seen on here so far. Thanks for not name calling and presenting your beliefs in a non-biased way. I feel like you are great at that. Thanks for the thought provoking words.

My life won't change much at all, I'm a middle aged married white man. The trans people I know might have a tougher life than they already do. People speaking Spanish in public might be more likely to be accosted by racist Karens telling them to leave the U.S.. Poll workers might be targeted for harassment from thousands upon thousands of Trump supporters. Women will lose more of their reproductive rights. Muslims might be treated worse.

But yeah, I'm gonna be fine so who ****ing cares?
Unfortunately, 99% of people only care about how they are going to be affected. Andrew Yang was getting some support just solely based off of his UBI idea. Same with Bernie Sanders and his loan forgiveness idea.

Wish you would have come in with a similar presence. I like your stuff generally but you pissed me off. I have zero patience for people who either directly or indirectly support The Rapist but the fact that you made a general insult toward everyone on here was what chapped my hide.

I am done trolling. I’m genuinely interested in having a good conversation. Consider me an open slate looking for information on both sides. I really don’t know much about politics at all.

I hope we can all get to a point where we can discuss politics in a substantial manner without the ridiculous insanity of The Rapist sucking all of the air out of the room. And it's really too bad Kamala was chosen for us without representation because is will taint our future conversations should she become President.

To be fair, list the top 3 accomplishments from any of the vice presidents in all of American history other than Harris, without using google.
Can it include accomplishments before becoming a VP? Like what important legislation did she sponsor in the Senate, what business did you build or lead, governor accomplishments, or what was her accomplishments of the DA?

Even then, Vance has a thin amount of accomplishments, and he still has about the same amount as Kamala and she was the VP. Pence was a governor and congressman before becoming a VP, so he had much more experience including governing. So he had more options to use than a book/military/senate/VC or a DA/senate/VP with nothing to brag about.

Vance can actually speak to the press or answer questions live, with out the help of a teleprompter/notes/taping or a partner.

I thought this was post was pretty funny with the 2 person interview coming up.

I think Vance would be fine as President. Especially compared to The Rapist. The real JD is the guy who called Trump "an idiot" and "reprehensible" and compared him to Hitler. This JD is just a guy doing whatever he can to climb the ladder even if it means selling his soul... hopefully temporarily.

Probably and it sounds like we agree on that. That isn't to say I know if it was unconscious or entirely calculated. Women are attracted to men based on what men can provide. Willie Brown could provide a boost to her career. Willie Brown did provide a boost to her career in exchange for sex.

Lol.
Some women are attracted to kindness. Some women are attracted to intelligence. Some women are attracted to shared interests (hobbies). Some women are attracted to humor.

There are many reasons why women are attracted to men.

Your post insinuates that women are only attracted to men based on what a man can provide for them. That is quite a douchebag opinion to have if true. Lucky for you, some women are also attracted to men who act like douchebags.

Do you realize how insane you sound lol. Risking our democracy? Put the keyboard down and turn the news off for a few days buddy.
Trump did in fact try to stop the Democratic process of the last presidential election. So he is indeed a risk.

This post lacks vice presidential accomplishments. Which was the topic of discussion. The answer to your first sentence is no since the op question was what did Kamala do as VP?

No! Shut the **** up. Log's a dumbass.

I see it differently.

Group A

30-35% of the country is part of a personality cult centered around Donald Trump and his personal interests. A man who is genuinely a weird ****ing dude. And they'll defend and post ad-naseum whatever the **** he and his sycophants in the media are saying this week with no regard for a consistent set of principles or an original thought of their own.

We even have a few here and they just post tweets all day on this sports message board and others too. I've seen them!

Group B

There is a subset of liberals who are democrat party hardliners who behave in a similar manner in regards to our guy, Joe Brandon and anything the Dems say is good by default. These blue MAGA types are annoying af, but by virtue of not being republicans they're automatically better. Additionally, they're not a huge group of people IMO.

An example, Why are they defending the draconian Brandon border policy when it's just an extension of the heavily criticized Trump admin border policy? If its bad when Trump was doing it, (which it was btw) then it's also bad when Biden doesn't do anything to alter course. Harris is running on Border Security as well, which is a reactionary stance that I don't agree with.

Group C

The rest of us, the vast majority of the board here, have thoughts, feelings, and principles of our own and we're here calling strikes and balls. Unfortunately due to Group A, who are out here inundating the board with horribly bad calls, we end up spending most of our time reacting to laughably bad takes.

Someone should create a chart for all the different positions Trump has taken on women’s health care. He changes positions completely almost by the hour depending on the audience.
