Kamala Harris for Pres

Immigration is a boon for the economy illegal or not. Always has been.
And it’s one of the major reasons why our country is prospering so much.

If Donald gets his way, 6 percent of the country’s population will be deported/killed (which is typically what happens with forced relocations). Wonder what that’ll do to our economy? Hate grocery prices now? Just wait until most of those who work in agriculture are deported/dead.

It’s incredibly ironic that those who whine the most about their forgotten towns are the ones who’ll be hit the most economically with one of trump’s only consistent thoughts, getting rid of brown people. In many ways I hope MAGA gets what they’re asking for. They truly deserve more tax cuts for folks like Elon Musk, destruction of social security, and the economic destruction of their communities. But they’re too stupid/stubborn to admit that they’re wrong. Just as we saw with Covid, they’ll gladly get sick for Trump as long as it means being an oppositional defiant child to liberals trying to be the adults of the country.

There was no economic opportunity here during COVID. With everything shut down where were these folks going to work?

Oh wait, I get it. Some people think that immigrants come here to live the sweet life off of handouts. Those people have no idea how the majority of government benefits work and that an undocumented immigrant doesn't qualify for the vast majority of them, especially the ones that give you actual food or cash (EBT).
I’ve cited a CATO study before (they’re not liberal) first generation immigrants produce much more economically than non-college educated (native) whites. Perhaps the focus in America needs to shift from demonizing brown people to the complete and utter moral collapse of non-college educated whites? If you aren’t going to college or learning a trade, what are you doing with your life? They’re not filling the jobs that immigrants are filling.

One of the factory owners in Springfield talked about how the Haitian immigrant workers always showed up on time, worked hard, and weren’t always drunk/high.

I wish I had 30 more. Our Haitian associates come to work every day. They don't have a drug problem. They will stay at their machine. They will achieve their numbers. They are here to work. And so, in general, that's a stark difference from what were used to in our community.

Obviously, he’d had some bad experiences before. Non-college/trade school educated whites have Gotta do something other than bitch about immigrants and suck off the government teet until they eventually blow their heads off with guns or die of OD. The older I get the more I see their plight as a moral Issue, not an economic one. They just shouldn’t see certain jobs as being “beneath them.” Nor should they be so damn lazy. My grandparents made two major moves in their lives, 1) to escape the dust bowl to California 2) to retain their jobs with the army, they left the Bay Area to work at the Tooele Army Depot. I’m sure they missed their friends and family in the Midwest to start new lives in California. And I’m sure moving from the Napa Valley to Tooele in the 1960s as non-Mormons must’ve been a shock. And if you go far enough back, I’m sure my ancestors hated leaving Italy to start a new life here. I’m sure leaving it was difficult for my mom’s ancestors to settle upstate New York, convert to Mormonism, and then travel all over Missouri, Illinois, and settle in Utah (one of my ancestors buried his wife and newborn in Wyoming). But non-lazy people have been re-inventing themselves and moving to where jobs and opportunity are since the dawn of time.

To see many in america whine about being victims while doing nothing to improve their situation really bugs me. Too much entitlement, its origins coming from the collapse of reconstruction when poor whites relied on their skin color to feel superior despite being just as poor as many immigrants and newly freed blacks. Our country is seeing incredible wealth and prosperity. If you’re “stuck” in some dumpster fire of a town, try moving out. Try going to school. Improve your situation. Don’t just bitch about it and hope a strongman fixes everything by deporting people who actually are trying to improve themselves and the communities they live in.

Well the thing is that if the things trump does actually ends up hurting the economy it will take time for those consequences to really effect us at maximum strength. Right about when the next president takes over. So they can simply blame whoever that is instead of trump.

We have quite a few people from Venezuela at my work (probably around 15 or so out of about 250 hourly) and they are the best workers at the facility imo. That's my honest, impartial assessment. Really friendly, work hard, always show up, and seem to like their job more than most other people.

People tend to behave differently when they don't have that sense of entitlement and complacency that comes with long-term prosperity and privilege. Hence why so many of us are straight up assholes.

Rounding up immigrants is his in to using the military against his own people. At that point protests by citizens will most likely see military intervention, which he wanted to do during his first term. Then things could go off the rails with jailing of press members or anyone who stands up to him. It sounds hard to believe but I think it will happen if he wins.

I really think his pushing protestors out of the way for a ****** Bible photo op was testing the waters to see how the public would accept him using force against protestors, and ultimately against the populace as a whole. The dude dreams of being a dictator no doubt, and Project 2025 shows that his inner circle has been actively working on the plan for this for years. The threat is real. The biggest thing he is doing beyond grooming his followers for a mini-Rwanda-style uprising is desensitizing the American people against his crazy rhetoric to downplay the very real threat he poses. And largely, it's working. Let's hope he can't make enough headway by November and gets kicked from the election cycle without enough force at his command to do much more than a few localized riots, but I'm sure he dreams of a full-on uprising and civil war if he loses. And that would be treason and hopefully he would be given the death penalty should that occur to show other would-be dictators not to try that **** here.

Yup, he's 100% in desensitizing mode. And it's working. He has been since day one really, but lately the lies have become even more preposterous and his flock eat them up. He is trending hard toward a loss and I think he knows it so now it's time to get them riled up to the point where the truth matters not one iota and they blindly do whatever he tells them to. We saw it on Jan 6 but he needs it to happen in every State across the nation this time. It's so predictable just like it was leading into the 2020 election. We were posting about that exact scenario here on JFC months before election day. I hope Joe and Kamala are in deep discussions with our military leaders and preparing for it.

Another reason to be a Never Kamala…what disaster of an idea! It’s also why I call her a left wing extremist.

Do you have other ideas to balance out a stacked and obviously corrupt supreme court that both sides would accept? Only 2 options, impeachment, which no Republican politician will support since, like all politicians, they care more about power than morals, or something like what she is proposing. I definitely don't like this idea since it removes all balance in the legislature since the filibuster was one of the few things the minority party had at their disposal to counter legislation they disagree with. If this is the way they want to go then they need to adopt super-majority voting in both houses for all legislation in the future, or something like that.

By the way, doesn't a constitutional amendment already require a super-majority and state radification?

We are going to stop this conversation right here before we move on.
Stacked? It wasn’t stacked, Trump got to pick 3 because RGB wouldn’t retire. Then the right played the same games that was done by Harry Reid with the “Nuclear Option”.

Why do both sides need to accept? Both sides don’t accept the president, the house or senate. Both sides don’t accept appointments for political positions.

This is an extreme leftist talking point. They don’t like who’s on it and now want to change it. If it was a left leaning court the left wouldn’t be bitching about it all the time.

I keep being reminded by a certain poster on here that says “elections have consequences”. This is a great example of it. You run terrible candidates, you won’t get your desired outcomes.

Why do we have to balance it out? How is it unbalanced? Maybe they are the ones that are balanced and our ideas or desires of government are the ones that are unbalanced.

LOL you get so outraged whenever you have nothing to offer. Yes a corrupt supreme Court needs to be BALANCED OUT somehow. Do you disagree? Or do you disagree the are corrupt? You like to throw around the "FAR LEFTIST" insult every time it pisses you off that you have no response. Look, you can try to wear the "just barely right wing" mask, but when it gets to discussions of substance you show your true colors. Let us know how it goes voting for Trump. Everyone knows that's exactly what you are doing. And yes, I'm voting for Kamala, but I'm transparent about why and what I really feel about her. So don't bother providing any more "centrist" fakeness. Just drop the act and get back on board with PJF in your worship of all things conservative.

First, not outraged at all.

Why do I need anything to offer? I think the way it is, is great. Why change it? It will naturally change over time by who is selected for POTUS. Democrats get elected when there comes openings and then it will be left leaning. If that happened and the right starts bitching about I will say it’s a right wing extremist idea.

Yes a corrupt supreme Court needs to be BALANCED OUT somehow. Do you disagree?
Why do you consider it corrupt? You haven’t even defined why it’s corrupt. Should we balance out all the politicians because I think they are corrupt?
You like to throw around the "FAR LEFTIST" insult every time it pisses you off that you have no response.
Again, look at what I consider left wing extremism, look at my history.
I talk about the same things over and over again. Expanding the Supreme Court, getting rid of the electoral college, free speech regulation, 2nd amendment infringement.

I’m not for any of it, none. People who do, have extremist views. And the ones who are pushing for it are on the far left.

Look, you can try to wear the "just barely right wing" mask, but when it gets to discussions of substance you show your true colors.
Yep, normal regular views. This is one of them. You obviously want to shake up our government, only for the things you dont like.

I like keeping it the same because it’s the best government in the world. The fringe on the left and right are the ones that want to ruin it.

Let us know how it goes voting for Trump. Everyone knows that's exactly what you are doing.
Not voting for him. I don’t care if you think otherwise.

And yes, I'm voting for Kamala, but I'm transparent about why and what I really feel about her. So don't bother providing any more "centrist" fakeness. Just drop the act and get back on board with PJF in your worship of all things conservative.
It seems like you’re the one outraged.

I don’t care if you vote for Kamala, bully for you. But it’s not going to stop me from posting anti-Kamala posts. You’re fine with people always posting anti-Trump or anti-RFK. But when it comes to your candidate you get outraged. Very Emotional about it.

Your initial response was an emotional one. You didn’t defend the removal of the filibuster. You went straight to the Supreme Court because you don’t like it. Just like the senator said, it’s very short sighted. The big picture, it’s a terrible idea. Just like everyone was saying about Harry Reid’s nuclear option. Everything everyone was warning about is why you got Trumps 3 picks. Now you’re in favor to make an even worse idea.

Again before you start trying to say my views are fake. Just maybe think that people are in the middle and have a moderate views.
IMG_5358.jpeg
This is the definition of what my beliefs are.

Moderate policies - don’t make big changes to the government (stacking SC, speech regulation ect…)

Redistributive policies - government healthcare, government funded college education, UBI, ect…

Don’t aline with either party.

I love the last sentence, extremists from both sides will describe me as a right wing or left wing when they oppose my views.

Looks like that’s what happened when you opposed my views.
