Who says No?

- Kings needs a PF, but Randle/Vonleh will be gone by #8. Kanter would make a nice pairing with Cousins with his shooting.
- Jazz could use a defensive presence at SF

-------------------------------------

Then:

#5 Jazz picks Julius Randle
#6 Celtics picks Noah Vonleh
#7 Lakers pick Marcus Smart
#8 Jazz picks Aaron Gordon

Starting Lineup

Burke
Hayward/Burks
Gordon
Randle/Marvin
Favors/Gobert

Kings need point guard help. Don't think they need any more rookies. It would probably take Burke + another vet piece + take back some bad salary. Also I would take Gordon first, because he isn't slipping to eighth.

The Kings are better off taking Aaron Gordon with the 8.

Gordon is wayyy too slight to play PF in the NBA. Plus the Kings already have Gay at the SF position.

With the way DeMarcus plays (who they believe is their core player), a PF who can really stroke it like Kanter becomes a very nice fit for them.

I really do think: Kanter + #23 is a fair swap for Aaron Gordon.

For the Kings
Kanter is a proven stroke maker at the PF position and his range is increasing rapidly. The #23 can net the Kings another nice backup SF in K.J. McDaniels or even Kyle Anderson.

For the Jazz
Jazz were atrocious last year defensively. Aaron Gordon can guard 1-5 positions. Him and Favors together could really make an impact this year.

I would rather take Vonleh then Randle simply because of the height/measurements and his outside shot. I think Vonlen will be a better defender too. Then take Gordon at eight. I like Kanter but I would do it. Another plus is that Kanter will want a big pay day and having Vonleh allows the Jazz to sign some solid vets. Then with the 35 pick I would take the best SF available or buy a pick to get Inglis or GRIII. If the lakers don't re-sign Marshall then I would bring him in to play backup PG. If you have Gordon on the Floor with Randle then teams will pack it in while if you have Vonleh shooting from the top of the key Gordon can come in and dunk rebounds over guys.

ummmmmm............

I couldn't possibly...I mean just maybe...on the off chance...

nah. I meant it.

Oh hell no. But if i were the Kings' Gm i would do that trade and sent Kanter in a heartbeat to the third team which would make the jazz the clear loser of this trade. Kanter and Cousins Frontcourt?Did you see what Pek und Love did in Minnesota especially on Defense?Same came would be in Sacramento.

If the Kings had the third Pick than i would consider this trade. Kanter plus #23 for Kings #3 Pick. But the Kings do not need Kanter as long as they have Cousins.

Yeah I'm OK with that. Randle/Vonleh to me are the best players at #5... just too close to call anyway. If you like upside go with Vonleh, if you like fight and grit go with Randle.

This is a nice team also:

Burke
Hayward/Burks
Gordon
Vonleh/Marvin
Favors/Gobert

So Aaron Gordon can guard 1-5 but he is too slight to play PF? Soooo intriguing.

He's too slight to play PF full-time, but when switching momentarily or asked to guard stretch 4's he can. As for Center - OKC played Durant at Center last game - that's the kind of lineup I was referring to.

Also if you have nothing constructive to add to this discussion please kindly GTFO.
