Kanter + Favors ,= ?

Last night I was really pleased with what I saw from the starting Duo of KantFavs. The offence was good and the defence held Blake and Paul below 50% shooting in the first half. Second half it all fell apart. None the less I was encouraged with their improvement.

What do you all think, can KantFavs experiment work?

Well, if we didn't have such a dipbrained dorkassed pissheaded dick for a coach, maybe we'd have found out by now.

We need a new coach and a wing who can stretch the defense.

But yes, that's the plan, kanter and favors. If it doesn't work out then this team is gonna be stuck in the lottery for a very long time.

The league is gonna be choking on this amount of #SexualTurkey tbh

That's not an experiment, Kanter and Favors have been the logical starters for countless reasons all along.

Kanter and Favors are the two players that lets their opponents play best against us, by far. Is Favors` defense really as good as we thought it would be?

Favors is like a one-man doubleteam defensively. He also handles the pick-and-roll and does pretty well with help defense. I don't think you can ask him to do too much more right now. However, I'm not sure any of the Jazz players are giving full effort right now.

In terms of upside, I think Gobert is right there with Kanter and Favors, and he probably has even more that either of the other two.

Is that because of work ethic, Talent level, defensive coaching or chemistry. I see Kanter improving on defense. Last night (especially the first half) I thought he did a good job being in the right place and boxing out. Two things he really struggled at earlier in the season. Kanters offense has great potential. I think that's where he shines. Im not seeing the man beast that I saw earlier in the season from Favors. Maybe that's because he's showing up on the scouting reports. I think that his statement "now were only playing for pride." Tells the tale. He's lost interest in this season having already signed earlier.

Both Kanter and Favors need to improve their passing, and Kanter needs a green light to shoot from 18 - 20 feet. Until these things start flowing naturally, there will be serious sputters. They also need to develop some serious chemistry with at least one guard.

That's what I was thinking, they need to work on there passing to each other especially. They'll struggle, but given time I think they could work great together.

Kanter's gotta be more consistent with the outside shooting and let Favors operate or has a chance to get the rebound. The experienced PG who knows how to play is the key as we saw Clippers team. Favors gotta be used in more PnR and take the ball when he 's chance to make dribbling to the rim.

Also, Kanter-Favors duo must not be used against only teams which use two really big men but also stretch Pfs too. The game must be automatic with sharp offensive patterns to dictate the power but you need a charismatic coach who knows what to do and persuade players to spend effort in all min of the matches. No need to be pessimistic, just need to patient and let Jazz organization find true professionals to fill the puzzle

that's a stretch.

Give him 3 or 4 years, like Kanter/Favors, then revisit. Gobert has the physical talent to dominate. Just needs a few moves and more playing experience.

My point is that Gobert doesn't deserve that kind of speculation based solely on his physical profile and work ethic; he needs to demonstrate more ON THE COURT before I'm willing to guess how he'll perform vis-a-vis Kanter and Favors.

If he can get stronger on the block (on both ends of the court) so he wins positional battles, and develops a couple of offensive moves, then he can be fully legit. Truth is, though, he's kind of a long ways off on both of these.

I'm a fan, though. For sure. Tremendous value at #27. I've said elsewhere he'll be the steal of the draft.... I just think that could take a while longer than I was thinking.

I'm going with no. He has moments but overall he's been quite disappointing.
