My point is that Gobert doesn't deserve that kind of speculation based solely on his physical profile and work ethic; he needs to demonstrate more ON THE COURT before I'm willing to guess how he'll perform vis-a-vis Kanter and Favors.

If he can get stronger on the block (on both ends of the court) so he wins positional battles, and develops a couple of offensive moves, then he can be fully legit. Truth is, though, he's kind of a long ways off on both of these.

I'm a fan, though. For sure. Tremendous value at #27. I've said elsewhere he'll be the steal of the draft.... I just think that could take a while longer than I was thinking.

Totally agree, so the guy needs PT. And playing Marvin at the stretch 4 so we can win a few more meaningless games is taking from Gobert's development. The frustrating part is why the FO doesn't rein in Ty and tell him to stop the nonsense and develop the young guys.
