Kanter for???

Kanter isn't getting traded. He's on rookie scale, he's got 2 more seasons to develop,. and he's our only 20/10 player. He's just not playing hard right now. Three weeks ago he was our best player.

If Kanter can develop a 3-point shot, than I think Kanter and Favors can exist together. If not, we need to eventually move one of them.

Why? Kanter can hit the mid-range jumper and Favors extended his range somewhat as well. You don't always have to have a Stretch-4 to play.

By the way, anyone remember the twin towers hysteria of just a few years ago? Or the playoffs less than a year ago? I love a big that can spread the floor, but let's not let hysteria dictate the direction of the topic of big play.

Thats what a man eats...

By the way part 2: Kanter is a good shooter. I am kind of baffled at the concern that he can't.

Jazz shouldn't be looking to dump any of the young core guys until after the tank and acquisition of a new head coach. That's especially true of Kanter. It amazes me that so many people are all gung-ho to draft Andrew Wiggins based on his potential, but are ready to dump Kanter before getting a chance to see if he reaches his. Patience is required for a team blowup and subsequent shift to young guys.

your crazy if you think you can get either Beal or Barnes for him. Oj mayo you could but Washington and golden state are not going trade two talented young players for abench warming stiff like kanter.

Hey look who's back!

Kanter > Klay, Barnes and probably Beal too. Kanter is a 20/10 guy when he asserts himself. That's more valuable than shooting wings.

No Gm would trade Klay, Beal, or barnes for him. These are facts. Eventually potential goes out the window for facts. Fact is kanter is not that good but keep on dreaming that he is

I praised the Jazz for the Trey Burks selection so don't act like I come around to just bash the jazz. I just love to talk bball and this board is very active. I praised trey burks early when people around here were calling him a bust after a few summer league games. Kanter just isn't that good. The Gobert trade by the jazz was also a great move.

This thread would be much more reasonable if you wrote "Hayward for??"

I love Kanter, but I'm seeing the direction this team is going and Kanter is looking like the odd-man out. I do agree that he does have a world of talent. I just think he would do really well on a team like the Bucks. Plus, he would give them much needed personality and locker room presence.

To make it work, I imagine the Jazz would have to bring back a bad contract, if the Bucks still have one. Kanter and cap space for their pick would be hard for them to pass up since they've shown they can sign free agents better than most lower tier markets. Plus, Kanter would be a nice fit combined with Sanders. It's much like what the Jazz were thinking with Favors. However, since Favors is slower and Kanter as well, it doesn't combine as well. That's why Marvin Williams has been much more successful for this team. There's a better balance; especially since we're pushing the ball much more now.

I would then go for Julius Randle instead of Wiggins or maybe Parker and play him as a stretch 4, like Marvin. I just think Julius Randle fits better with a point guard like Burke and our wings to go along with Favors space-eating. Sanders is more mobile than Favors so Kanter's size and scoring would be a nice balance for them. Although, Kanter has better range than Randle. I think the Jazz are ready to be a little more patient than I imagine the Bucks are at this point. They don't need another rookie to wait on.

Nice dream but teams are not giving up a top 4 pick for Kanter in this draft. Teams are not giving up a top 4 or so pick this year for any player that a team is willing to trade.

Like I said, it would have to include more parts, like a bad contract. Kanter can be a center piece for an offense, for sure. He's more than shown that he can be a 20-10 guy. It's just not with the current pieces we have on this team.

It's bad asset management to trade him. He won't look worse than he does now.

Buy low sell high

get it?
