Kanter for???

We would still have parker without the trade though right.

Plus if we trade for beal we might improve enough to miss out on parker. (Though I don't think we would improve all that much)

True. BUT, I still think that if you are within three games of the worst record in the last month, you sit your starters. Parker is more important than any of those guys. You get that #1 spot in the lottery.

Can we trade Green to another board for a better poster?

Seriously, don't ****s with the UnderKanter!

What about Favors defense as of late? Hasn't been that good... You are all too ready to throw the towel in on every player right now just because we're not winning. We are designed to lose right now. With a rookie PG who can't facilitate, a backup PG who can't facilitate or score, R.J. getting extended minutes, Corbin coaching, Rush having a mental block, Beidrins being himself --we have no hope, and no real basis for judging anyone too harshly right now. Every defensive lapse isn't Kanters fault. Favors has looked horrible as well lately, and it is due to poor perimiter defense by Burke, Lucas, Burks, and Jefferson. Those guys can't defend, which makes everyone elses rotations a lot harder. If Favors is looking bad defensively, you know something is up.

Chill out with the "let's trade so and so for..." talk right now. Kanter is still an elite level prospect, and very young. He still has a lot of untapped potential. I still believe he can hit the 3 ball if given that green light.

If Kanter could dunk the ball within two feet of the hoop with a defender nearby, I'd feel completely different about him. Besides, I don't want to give him up for peanuts. I want Beal. Tell me this team:

Burke
Beal
Hayward
Parker
Favors

wouldn't DESTROY this team:

Burke
Burks
Hayward
Kanter
Favors

It wouldn't be close.

I'm glad we drafted Kanter. BUT, I don't think he is athletic enough to carry a team to a title. I see him as an asset. I hope the Jazz use that asset instead of Millsaping him.

Good to see you so worried about four years from now, but that has little to do with what is happening right now.

it certainly has been a series of mistakes the way they use him.

This is the only part of your post that I agree with.

Kanter would look a lot better with good perimeter defenders. As is, Hayward is the only adequate defense we have on the perimeter (when he is against 2 guards). If Marvin was the 3 and not Jefferson, Kanter (and Favors as of late) wouldn't look so bad. The PG defense from everyone is ridiculously bad. These wholes show up a lot more on the bigs end, and by extension they catch the flack for it.

Kanter is a beast offensively, and should really be our #1 option right now (until we get a better option), but a lot of people would complain that it is Alfense 2.0. (but it wouldn't be if Kanter was given green light around perimiter as well, etc.)

Kanter is still the least experienced player on the team that isn't a complete scrub or Trey Burke. A couple of weeks ago, he was putting up 20/10ish numbers with good efficiency while doing it on bad shots and never looking comfortable. Maybe the losing gets to him and it changes him for the worse, but I still don't think we've seen enough to even know what we're trading.

And how are you so certain that this piece of **** player that you want to dump is going to be worth max money anyway (and why do you think other teams want to trade their good prospects for our garbage)? If he continues playing like he has the last few weeks, he'll be lucky to break into 8-digits annually on an extension. Besides, aren't we tanking? We're going to get the best shot at our best player come this summer anyway.

Holly jit JazzFanz have gone Nutz....

Just a month ago y'all were praising Kanter & Burks!!!!!

Don't get stuck in the past. They're clearly past their primes. Time to cash in before the rest of the league finds out.

Wow, it sounds so soon but here goes the sound of the starting footsteps of dissing Kant. I guess the deconstructive nature of the tanking process made people change their minds about things more easily.

And being fed up with Kanter not being a beast as he was supposed to be.

Kanter is very relevant right now. You have to extend him this summer. Once the trade deadline passes, his value drops because of RFA.

I actually prefer the latter. I like Parker at SF and Hayward at the 2. If Parker was to be our PF, why wouldn't we go for Randle? Randle is the creme de la creme of PF's in this draft.

The lineup I would rather see is:

Stud PG Assist King and Ultimate Defender (Rondo) from trading some combination of Favors, Burks or Burke.

Stud PG, Neto
Hayward, Rush (or other 3 & D)
Parker, Evans, Mcdermott
Kanter, McDermott, Evans
Gobert, Kanter
