Kanter for???

Don't get stuck in the past. They're clearly past their primes. Time to cash in before the rest of the league finds out.

Just for the record, I am still really high on Kanter. I do think he will be a max player. I just don't know how well he fits into a team that is trying to build around length, athleticism, defense and shooting. So, you have this asset, that is capable of reaching a level of 95. BUT, on your team, because of the way you want things run, his ceiling is an 85. Why not see if you can move him for a 90 player that fits your team? Or an 85 on another team that can get to 90 in your system?

That's the point of this thread.

Wow, it sounds so soon but here goes the sound of the starting footsteps of dissing Kant. I guess the deconstructive nature of the tanking process made people change their minds about things more easily.

Again, not dissing. I don't know how he fits, and I really, really want a vet on this team. We need a leader/vet BIG time. And not a Marvin/Jefferson vet. But someone that actually helps.

I guess its time to bump the Kanter Gets Teh Max thread....
from, like, a month ago.

Who said he isn't getting the max? I think he will.

The Beal deal is roflol. No way Washington does that. Beal4Real.

You mean Washington wouldn't want to trade arguably their best (and still likely improving) player for our unathletic, wimpy big with 0 upside that will get the Max?

I don't think Kanter is held with anywhere near the regard league-wide as he is here. So you don't trade him.

Kanter still has a great shot at being a 20/10 guy. He's got some mental stuff to work out. And, it would be great to see a system define the right role for him, and for him to feel some consistent success in that role. Crazy talk, I know.

Man, once size and number got on here, the thread went to pot. Funny, that has never happened before....
