What's new

Kanter loses 51 lbs in the past 2 months....

If we're taking per/36 numbers, Kanter actually had better production than Favors.

Ehh? No, actually.

But if Kanter played 30 mpg last year, he would've been 10/10.

I try not to take such a leap, but Kanter did a good job last year. For all of the groaning about what he couldn't do, he had a pretty good season, all things considered.

I used the wrong multiple for Kanter's points. Statistically, it was very close during the regular season. I wouldn't have guessed that. I'd be happy with the same 13/11 per from Enes as he gets more mins. Favors has so much more potential, IMO. I'm hoping he can push his scoring up to the 18-20 range, while still maintaining his defensive intensity. He does that and you can label him a legit superstar.

I have said from the time we drafted Kanter that he should play power forward and Favors should play center, so it is nice to see someone else in agreement.
You're not alone in that one. I'm sure there are more including me.

Even Favors had more turnovers per 36 than Enes? That's a relief thanks. I thought he was playing for the league leadership or smth.

Alongside Kanter's physical dominance, we will see even his behind the arc range as years get past. Offensively he is more versatile than many centers. He needs to be more athletic to use his skills. He worked on that the whole summer. Let's hope he reflects his hard-work to the precious minutes he'll receive.

I just don't buy this. And losing that much weight that fast is never healthy.

Whatever. I just hope he's better conditioned although I have no real complaints in that regard last year.

People do it all the time, and it's simple to do if you eat food that actually feed the body what it needs.
The "Enes Kanter Diet" would be the complete antithesis of 99 percent of what Americans eat.

IMO Kanter will stabilize at 250-255 as his playing weigh for most of his career. Seems to be the right amount of mass for his frame.

Conclusion: This is the year for Favors to show what he can do and will be, and Kanter needs to take a step forward, namely in assists, BB IQ, and comfort level/aggression.
