Kanter Review in the First Preseason Game

Kanter did seem better passing out of the post today. Also had some nice blocks. This is just a summer league game, people.

I'm starting to think that having Big Al mentoring Kanter is one the main reasons why his development fails.

No..

The coaches are responsible for developing young talents - not team mates. Granted, Al had really taken Kanter under his wings and showed him a move or 2. But that's where it ends. Al is not responsible for seeing through Kanter's development. Corbin & his entourage of coaches need to do a better job of tailoring training to suit each player's needs.

KOC seemed to have given Corbin free reign with regard to hiring of assistant coaches. I believed Corbin was behind the hiring of his 'friends' as assistant coaches - both Lowe and Sanders (as the big man coach) were his colleagues.

Sanders was criticized at that time as not having enough experience or 'height' to do so - Sanders is 6'9. Bynum had Abdul Jabbar, Howard had Ewing & Olajuwon. But OK - I give Corbin the benefit of the doubt and time to prove himself (last year with the lockout and what not).

But sooner or later you have to look at the results. Corbin has 1 year left on his contract, and with a full Summer League and training camp this year - there should be no more excuses. I'll be counting on him to bring Kanter along and seeing some results this year.

The game wasn't a total waste for Kanter. After recording 8 assists all season, he put up his first 2-assist game as a pro. :)

Hey guys, elite talent-analyst Wesley J. ManBoob has exclaimed that Enes Kanter is a bust. We have seen enough, time to trade him for a 2nd rounder and Yata Gaines.

Uh, my middle initial is G for ****ing Great, not J. But yes, yes...you're right on track.

By the way, I'm just menstruating. I get frustrated. My favorite teams are generally hard-nosed, gritty teams (Eagles teams under Jim Johnson, Jazz under Sloan though not recently that bitch, scrappy Jimmy Rollins-led Phillies teams though not recently; Ray Lewis is my favorite player in all of sports) and when guys play like complete, overwhelmed *******, hang their head and slump their shoulders like C.J. Miles, and don't bring the noise, I wanna smack them around.

The board is going to go in complete meltdown mode when they watch the Raptors SL and Jonas is playing tough.

Kanter seems to just have 1 move - that up and under move.
.
For the love of God - I have no idea why, with all the coaches that we have, we haven't been able to help him to develop even a baby hook yet!!!!

Oh for F*** sakes.
.
What the **** happened to the Nike Hoops summit game? He had like two spin moves that game that made me go "wow". Now he does the same move over and over.
.
Kanter= the white hole
That is funny.
Agreed, Kanter does need to work on that to better sell the up and under. I look forward to seeing him progress.

Bingo
I hope this is not true.
Me too

I would love for Kanter to have Big Al's footwork. Having Jefferson mentor Kanter on the offensive end is what he needs. I'm not sure why anyone would say differently.

Al's footwork is so ****ing great that he's a big who can't even shoot 50% from the field.

That's because he doesn't pass the ball and at points settles for bad shots. His footwork is one of the top in the league for a big man. If you think differently it's just because you hate Jefferson.

Kanter did have a bad day but I am not realy worried that much at this point. Its not like he has been with the coaches all summer. I think the Jazz had like 3 days practice before summer league started, and with like 18 guys most of that was probable teaching the players a few set plays. I see this as a chance to see what he can do then you have 3 months before the season starts to work on things. I hope be the end of the week to see a post move other then the up and under.

The only way board will go into complete meltdown is after 3 years when Kanter will be either traded or let go and Jonas will get max deal;). And Jonas is not playing in summer league. Watch Olympic basketball to see him in 3 weeks.

I know Kanter was drafted 3rd and all...

But to be honest I'd be happy if Kanter can play a solid 3rd big role for us in the future - with Favors at C and Millsap at PF. Then may be Kanter can fill in as a starter when we're playing really big guys like Marc Gasol or Bynum and we need his size on the defensive end.

If Kanter can play solid defense while scoring easy buckets against opponents' reserves (if he reaches his potential he'll be tearing opponents' apart IMO) then I'd be happy with that.

Oh Man! Oh Man! Oh Man! Oh...... we should have drafted Jonas or Knight... Oh Man! Oh Man! Oh Man GIFSoup
