I don't watch the games anymore, but going off that box score of 3 rebounds in 20 minutes... I would play Biedrins over him at this point. Give those minutes to a player who actually cares and isn't a mental sissy.

Love the way Kanter is being handled. He gets lazy at times and doesn't show up. Then he has great games. GH said it is the same way in practice - times when he can't be stopped and times when he if completely ineffective. Kanter has to figure out the mental part of the game if he wants a role on any team in this league. He is getting plenty of time to develop. At times he plays like the worst defender we have had on the inside in years. Kanter has to fix this. Rewarding him with more minutes when he is not doing the basics is wrong. There are plenty of rotations I don't understand with Corbin but the handling of Kanter makes sense IMO

Kanter should/needs to play 25 minutes of meaningful basketball, that's all! (not scrub-ball with the likes of JL III)
He is good material potential-wise.
Let's see whether he will live up to that, and that this year TyCo!

Just curious
Is it wrong to reward trey and gordon with more minutes when they suck and are making mistakes?

Come on!!! EVERYONE knows that Kanter is the only Jazz player who makes mistakes and can't play defense ... excepting, of course, Burks. Just listen to Matt!

I had to vote "kind of" in the poll, because I am not convinced that benching Kanter results in more wins for Corbin.

Excellent strawman! Just keep on trolling....

It's completely relevant. You don't bench starters for having off-games.

Kanter does not only have off-games (and isn't a starter), he makes mistake upon blunder upon screwup and is a mental sissy this year. He has stalled out.

The Oracle Has Spoken!

Should the Broncos have benched Peyton Manning last Sunday?

Do you think gordon and trey are on the level of manning?

Really bad example.

Instead look to the running back situation.... i remember montee ball was a starter for the broncos and then he had fumble issues and they did in fact bench him for moreno

Broncos benched thier starting running back for having off games.

Eagles benched michael vick for having off games.

Kanter was a starter and was benched as well you silly goose

Last year hayward started and then was benched

Called time out, told him what he did wrong, put them back in. Hayward and Burke are allowed to play through their mistakes, why should Burks and many Kanter be able too? Also having them play together will create more chemistry and confidence in them.

And when he did it again?

And then again?

And the third time when Corbin got really pissed?

You only have 3 non forced timeouts in NBA ball.

I don't agree with Ty on everything but the handling of Kanter is spot on when you have Gobert in the wings. More of what we need in a center when Favors is out. A rim protector, blocks shots, alters shots. He kept us from getting blown out by the Raptors like in the beginning of the season. He could be what we need when we had Eaton or Ostertag take us alot farther than without them. Kanter has been getting minutes because he is scoring when all of our other scorers have been in slumps, but he is a bit of a black hole on offense too and slows down the ball movement at times. We don't need a scoring center that gives up more points on the other end. He gets pulled because there is more harm than good and there are alternatives. Just my opinion.
