Kanter traded to OKC

DL is said to be this great GM........Well Sam Presti has put the Thunder together and kept them together ,lets also say that Presti went after Kanter OVER Brook Lopez ,so everybody think Presti is a dumb a$$ or something

No, Presti settled for Kanter. He wanted Lopez but couldn't get him.

That doesn't happen until next year, though. Right? That's why it was so important in this trade to clear salary for THIS summer. That allows us to sign a very good player for what will be a reasonable contract in the future.

Who are the free agents this coming summer that we have a chance of signing?

That jump won't occur until 2016, so the Jazz have an opportunity to add pieces this summer with the extra space from dumping Novak (not all that significant). If DL strikes out again this summer, he'll have done a pretty **** job overall through his first 3 seasons. Dude took over a playoff team with a couple fringe all-stars with and 4 decent, high upside lottery picks. He's now effectively turned 3 of those pieces into a mid- to late- 2018 1st round pick, acquired no impact players through non-draft trade or free agency, and has a mixed/incomplete record in the draft (I'm not as high on Exum OR Gobert as most on the board). What am I missing?
Brilliantly said. If the jazz don't land a top guard via free agency, DL will have struck out.

What an *******. Go slurp draino.
Maybe I am but he is clearly *** licking your asses. It is embarassing to see this.

Really happy for Enes. He now has nothing left as an excuse as he always talked about how bad he felt about losing. He either starts winning now, if he can't, he should quit playing basketball.

Kanter is prisoned to dirty work and play much less post up and midrange now I think. His scoring might drop.

Can't believe a rare 3rd pick is gone so soon as a universal fact.

Now that Enes is finally gone....I want to know from where arrives all this hate for Kanter! I suspect it is something related to his religion...

We will regret roughly of this trade!
Well, I also think that Jazz will regret this but no need to be negative. Let's see what Gobert will make out of his 30 mins now.
And I don't think people hate Kanter either.
Last season (and before) all people here hated Gordon. I know the ridiculous opinions people had about him. Now he is the franchise player here. So the opinion of most of the guys here come from daily feelings.
And regarding Kanter, they want to see Gobert because deeply inside they think he can turn to be an All-Star. So they kept bashing Kanter, so Gobert can play. I don't give a s'it about their opinions because these fans change on daily basis their opinions.

It's a great trade for OKC. They get a young guy they have bird rights too. If they figure out Durrant is gone, they are still a playoff team with Westbrook, Ibaka, Kanter and Waiters. Good move for both teams. Heck, even Detroit came out well.

Everyone wins, depending on what Utah does this summer.

Get out of here. We dont want it!!!!

A later pick is actually probably better for this franchise. We don't need more rookies who's deals will be expiring right after each other, forcing us to make tough decisions.

Having ammo down the road when we are peaking is a good thing.

It's a good trade mostly because we don't lose Enes for nothing, and we get rid of Enes.

Dennis Lindsey is a smart GM.

Yeah...I'm not a fan of this trade with the info that we know.
I agree.
Very meh/somewhat disappointing trade.
I see this as a semi-tank trade, which I'm ok with since I got on the tank bandwagon about a month ago.

After this season I never want to see a trade like this one again

Kanter = Al Jefferson with less offensive skill, arguably worse defense, and a desire to be traded. And he wanted Hayward money.

Wish him luck in OKC. Might translate to fewer points scored, but hopefully the better defense evens it out. And if we lose a few more games, we get a better pick. What we got in return may not seem like much on paper, but it's better that he's gone.

If this trade is as reported (Perkins and an OKC first sometime in the future plus a 2nd and a 25 year old euro) I hate it. Kanter was worth far more in my opinion and we should have kept him and tried to smooth it over. OKC got lots better at the deadline. Durrant and Westbrook are going to stay. We may be picking last in the first round when we finally get to pick. Just horrible.

And don't call me an *** kisser or I'll rape you in your ****ing eye sockets you piece of ****

Oh, is this a kind of game where the guy with the most insulting words wins it?
How mature of you.
Is this the way you represent Turkish people here?
You disgust me. You embarrass me.
Stop being an *** kisser. We got it.

I wont miss Kanter's defense. Sure I will think a little about what could have been, and what Kanter may do outside Utah. But then I'll just start thinking about his defense, and I'll sleep like a baby.

The Kanter no defense, no passing out of the post era is over.
