Wow.. I think we got shafted guys. I thought we'd also get DET's 1st rounder but all we got was the 2nd.
So we didn't get anything at all? Not even a measley pick?

So to recap, here is what we got for Enes Kanter:
7'2" German Center
A stretch Belly 4
And a 2018 Draft Pick

There's no way physicals can be completed for everyone involved in the trade today, so I'm going to say no.
If Kanter wanted out and there was low chance of resigning him after he took the QO it was the right move. Which is why I think we pulled the trigger.
Using minutes and development on an asset that doesn't want to be here long term is a waste of time, money, and comes at the expense of players like Gobert (our real future).
Now the Jazz can be very active in FA this summer. It has cap space and gobs of assets.
This is better than Kanter getting an unmatchable offer and/or kicking the can down the road one more year for no reason. Glad the Jazz got something in return.

Porkins? I won't complain about giving Gobert more minutes but you'd think Kanter would be able to snatch at least one decent rotation player.
At least Tibor Pleiss seems interesting, maybe we can bring him over next year to backup Gobert.

Of course, it could become a good deal. Just think they could have done something to either get them a good deal straight up, or something to give them a better chance at a good deal in the future. I prefer to rely on the luckiness factor as little as possible.
So how many other teams have cap room this summer?
